Chris Chan (Chan Shing) was born in Hong Kong, in 1940, the year of the Dragon. In 1955, he started learning Wing Chun Kung Fu from the late Grandmaster Ip Man. During his time in Ip Man's school, he trained with such legends as his friend, the late Bruce Lee, and Wong Shun Leung. Our proven Wing Chun training builds a student's fighting attributes through disciplined exercise and partner training. Unlike some other Gung Fu methods, Wing Chun is based on real fighting. Said to be created by a woman, Wing Chun is designed to be structurally faster and more efficient than other methods, and to prevail against a stronger opponent.
Designed to teach the core principles and techniques in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Our Lil' Wabbit (Little Rabbits) kid's program is designed for children ages 4 through 13. Our young students learn discipline, respect, self-confidence, and coordination through active participation in traditional Chinese martial arts for kids.
If you are interested in having this program available at your workplace - we can do that too! Wing Chun is an effective short-range martial art that improves your physical skills. It is one of the best martial arts for corporate environments due to the limited space available in an office. We must warn you that sharpening these skills will improve your performance at work and give your superhuman showmanship.
Who was the mysterious founder of Wing Chun Kung Fu? There may be as many versions of her story as there are tellers. Some even say she never existed. Yet the legend captures the spirit of our art so perfectly that a serious student will always find truth in it. Imagine yourself in China 300 years ago.

This is one of the original wing chun schools in San Francisco directly under the Ip Man lineage. The school was founded by Grandmaster Chris Chan, friend of Bruce Lee and student of Ip Man in Hong Kong. The training is filled with tough training to build up your power, speed and technique. You will experience working out with mookjongs or aka wooden dummies to condition the arms and refine the techniques. Sandbag training is a huge component of the program as well. You will also work on other techniques such as Chi Sao, sticky hands, and work out with partners.
