I was born and raised in the great state of Texas. I've always believed that a beautiful smile is the best accessory we have. Therefore, I am happy I get a chance to work where I can help patients achieve satisfaction with their smiles. In my spare time, I love traveling to new places, going on food adventures, working out, exercising my creativity through various forms of arts, and of course playing with my dogs, Rocky, Tofu, and Leo.
Dr. Michael Cao is a Texas native and received his bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Dr. Cao loves learning and is committed to continuing education. He takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills, so he can continue to provide his patients with a gentle and comfortable dental experience.

I’ve never been a huge fan of going to the dentist & after a pretty bad experience awhile back it was even worse. I chose Dr. Cao & his staff because they had taken amazing care of my daughter about 4 years ago. My first visit was great! We reviewed the things I needed done & Dr. Cao was great at explaining everything. Then I met with Kim to work out the financial piece & that was a great experience as well! I highly recommend this office!

I always love coming in to True Smiles. My family has been seen by both dentists, and they're both absolutely amazing. They don't mind explaining things to us, they're amazing with children and super patient. The girls (dental assistants? sorry I don't know the proper job title!) are always so upbeat, quick, professional but very sweet. I can't imagine a better experience, they're consistently amazing.

After searching for a dentist that I could trust with my child for over a year & dealing with dentist after dentist that just had no clue how to deal with a child, I finally found a place that made my child & I feel safe. I cannot thank them enough for working with my baby. He needed a lot of work done & today after starting this process since January is finally complete. I am so happy & feel so relieved that my baby is no longer in pain. The staff is AMAZING & the DR is KIND & GRACEFUL. I will continue to bring my baby & family here. I’m so happy I finally found a place that is great with kids

After the original appointment for my son was with an office who’s hours changed without notifying us, these guys were able to squeeze us in within an hour to get my son’s teeth cleaned. Which is really awesome. The staff was very friendly and professional. The new patient form is only one sheet long. The dentist was very good with my 6 year old son. They have a tablet mounted for viewing with Bluetooth headphones. Just kept my son distracted while they cleaned his teeth.
On top of all of this, they have complementary KCups, and a nice play area for children.
