Dr. Backus is available for phone consultations and in-person visits by appointment only. Kanab currently is open by appointment only, no walk ins! Hours vary due to daily changes caused by volatile current events. Salt Lake City visits are 2-5 times a year. St George visits are some Saturdays of each month with some variability due to ever changing circumstances.

Michele earned her associate degree in veterinary technology in May of 2018 and graduated summa cum laude. She became a licensed technician in 2019. She is now double-licensed in Nevada and Utah. Kathy, I doubt that you would remember me but I certainly remember you. On a morning my unresponsive cat was having an insulin emergency. I bundled her up and rushed over to your clinic. "Please help me, please help my cat!" You, behind the counter explained that I would need a means of prepayment before you would help me, a credit card number would do. "I don't have a credit card, please save my cat!" Your slight smile as you suggested that I call a friend to secure payment before you would help, my cat now convulsing, dying in my arms.
