While on vacation my pet tangled with a porcupine. We were in an area with no cell service so were not able to call ahead. When we arrived my dog was immediately given pain medicine and then was worked into the surgery schedule. I am so grateful. Ever since I came to Kanab, I've felt that you listened to my concerns and took the time to meet the needs of my pets.

We came in from out of town visiting Grand Canyon with an ailing dog (Ozzy) that was getting worse. We were absolutely sick with worry about him. They got us in first thing in the morning. After dropping him off at the vet, they got back to us a couple hours later with a diagnosis and treatment. When I came to pick him up they gave me meds to give him and exactly how to admin them. They told me bring him back the next day if he was not getting better. By the next day he was showing big signs of improvement. 5 days later he's nearly as good as new!! The vet - Dr. Gibson, called me back that morning

We have just moved to Kanab, UT and my little dog was having allergic reactions to something. It isn't something totally new with her so I was giving benedryl and when I found hotspots, I put tea tree oil on them. HUGE MISTAKE! Tea tree is TOXIC AND CAN EVEN KILL!! The folks here were so very helpful! They saw my girl without any kind of appointment, ran the necessary tests to see if there was any organ damage, and made sure that all was well! We were visiting Zion and found a cat in Glendale who was clearly malnourished and had a wound on her face. We called Kanab Veterinary Hospital and they were super helpful to fit her in that day. They checked her out, did lab tests and ended up talking with Best Friends animal shelter to get her in. Everyone at Kanab vet hospital was so kind and helpful and loved kitty as much as we did! We can’t thank them enough for taking her in and helping us keep her safe.

Dr Ballard and his team are so caring and kind. I needed to get my cat in urgently and they were able to take her in. I am a veterinarian myself but was visiting Kanab. The team was compassionate and went out fo their way to help me and my cat. They even came in after hours to check on her and medicate her. I'm so grateful for having found them.

I have been a client of the Kanab Veterinary Hospital since 2006 even before Dr. Ballard bought it. Despite the many mistakes that the hospital has made over the years I remained a loyal and friendly client.
This included the time when in Dec 2016 my petsitter put two of my dogs together against my explicit instructions, having been warned, many times, in writing and verbally that one of the dogs can be severely dog aggressive. When a fight ensued, she locked both dogs in a room to fight it out, and waited half an hour to call me. She told me that "all is quiet now" and "your dog
