Services
Welcome to Room 1! We understand that for many, this will be your child's first school experience and we strive to make it a wonderful year of growth and discovery. Room 1 is a place for your child to discover a passion for learning through play. We understand the importance that social and emotional development plays in academic learning, so we will be exploring science, dramatic play, music, and literacy through hands-on learning opportunities.
Ms. Kris has been teaching for 24 years and believes children learn by doing. As a preschool teacher and Co-Director, she believes it is her responsibility to create a learning environment that meets each child where they are at developmentally, and encourages a passion for learning by providing exciting opportunities to discover the world around them!
Certain circumstances can be discussed with the preschool directors as they have discretion over the enrollment process. For the health of our students and staff, Macalester Plymouth Preschool requires all students to be vaccinated unless provided with a notarized medical exemption (we do not enroll those with conscientious objections).
Macalester Plymouth is a creative, nurturing environment that teaches children about the world through beloved stories, art and music.
