Our Child Care and Preschool programs in West Saint Paul, MN provide a safe, learning environment for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. Tiny Tots and Little Tykes Preschool and Child Care Center is licensed and accredited, non-sectarian, non-profit, tax-exempt and open to the public. Our program is licensed by the State of Minnesota through the Department of Human Services.
We are licensed for 148 children, including 12 infants, 40 toddlers, 70 preschoolers, and 26 school age children. Within the structure of this licensure, the preschool program is set up for 40 students aged three to five years. The preschool program operates differently than the child care center. We are accredited through the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) to ensure we can offer the highest quality care.

Services
In 1973 the Tiny Tots and Little Tykes preschool program began in Sylvia Nelson Witz's home in West Saint Paul. In 1986 the program expanded and the child care center was started at a second location. Both programs relocated to St. Croix Lutheran School in 1992 until 2014. We own our current space at 60 East Marie Avenue Suite 100 in West St. Paul.
Tiny Tots and Little Tykes Invests in Commercial Indoor Air Quality Upgrades with Portable Purification Units and Integrated Solutions. Partnering with ISO-Aire, a fully integrated medical-grade purification system is cleaning the indoor air throughout the space that offers care and educational programs for children ages 6-weeks to 12 years of age.
We pride ourselves in maintaining consistent, quality staff. Our goal is to allow our staff flexible schedules along with excellent benefits of ample paid time off to balance their personal lives. This along with our staff's dedication to quality care and early learning, have made for a consistent, professional staff.
Tiny Tots and Little Tykes is a nonprofit child care center that prepares children for kindergarten by concentrating on the developmental skills of the whole child including physical, emotional, intellectual, and social aspects. Our goal is to have each child come away with a good feeling about himself/herself; that he/she is a worthy human being, capable of achievement.
The Child Care program offers care for children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten. The Preschool program has two-day-a week or three-day-a-week options for children 3 years old up to kindergarten age. The School Age program offers Before & After school care, non-school daycare & summer camps for children from kindergarten through age 12.

My 2 year old has been attending this care center for a year maybe a little over a year and she got kicked out Today . This school has non stop been trying to find any reason to kick her out. I have had incidents with teacher picking on my child I have had teachers physically restraining my child I have literally had problems every week . I have spoke to head administrators and the problems have nobody been resolved and I'm tired of it. I do not recommend this school to any family that is black or any race other then white people they mad up all types of lies being said about me and my child this

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability
Our now 5 year old has been coming to Tiny Tots since she was 2. She wakes up every morning ready to go back to school as she calls it. She loves it there and that makes me so happy. Our daughter has learned and grown so much going there. When I drop my child off I know she is going to be well cared for. Totally recommend!!

We have brought both of our daughters to Tiny Tots for over 4 years now! It is a wonderful place to have your children go everyday. I never have to worry about them when they are there. All of the teachers and staff are wonderful and helpful. Any concern I have ever had about anything has been taken care of. My older daughter also attended the preschool progam and thrieved because of it. My younger daughter will start preschool in the fall. My older daughter will be taking the bus to Tiny Tots everyday after school because they just love being there so much! I definitely recommend this child care

Tiny tots has been a great experience since day one! My kiddo started when he was around 2 and it was a tough start for him, but one of the teachers always spent time with just him while helping him calm down. 2 years later and the same teacher has been there every step of the way for my kiddo. The preschool program is fantastic and it’s super convenient for family because they can go right back to daycare afterwards. When Covid hit Tiny Tots was understanding of the new stress that families were facing and helpful during the consistently changing and terrifying time. Tiny tots is clean, professional

My family and I absolutely love tiny tots and Little tikes! My four children have been going here for the last few years and I can't say enough good things about our experience. They have been very caring toward our family very flexible and also supportive in my children's learning! They went above and beyond to keep families safe and cared for throughout the pandemic and continue you do so. Thank you Tiny Tots teachers and staff!

We had both our children here for 5 plus years till each one entered kindergarten. The staff is great, the environment is safe, and the my kids really responded to the lessons and activities. Best of all is that our kids actually liked going to Tiny Tots, they were never tearful at drop off and had a good time on a daily basis.

We have had the good fortune to send both of our children to Tiny Tots. Our oldest, who is 13 now, started there at 1 1/2 years old, and our baby is now there as well. Tiny Tots is one of the rare child care centers that is accessible to a lot of families, has high quality instruction, and has been around for a very long time. They are great with kindergarten readiness (as we saw with our older daughter and her classmates) and very good at early detection and intervention when needed. In my opinion, probably the best child care center in St. Paul/West St. Paul! We would recommend it to anyone looking

Our daughter has been at Tiny Tots/Little Tykes for a year now and we have been so pleased with the quality care from the friendly staff, clean and organized environment and communication. They recently started using a communication care app and that has been a great addition.
I have been very impressed with their professionalism and responsibility with COVID-19 precautions from the very start, to keep staff, children and families safe. I am so thankful they are still open while I am working from home.
