Unfortunately, the massage was good, but not great. I had better deep tissue massages in the past. It did not last 60 minutes, but less. When I arrived, I was asked to fill a form where I had to specify areas I did not want to be massaged and area I wanted them to focus on. Clearly, the therapist did not read it. I arrived few minutes late so maybe that's why she did not read it, but she could have asked. Not a bad experience but not worth $105+tip in my opinion.

The atmosphere and cleanliness of this place was superb. They were on time and the booking process was very easy. Loved the heated pad on the massage bed! I booked a last minute massage today and had Derek as my massage therapist. He was very knowledgeable of the muscles and unknotted the muscles on my shoulder I didn’t know I had. He tailored my experience to how I wanted it and I felt SUPER relaxed after. A memorable, relaxing visit. Thanks Derek! A must go!

I have visited Massage Emporium twice in the last four months. In January 2020 I was in a bad accident and, since then, deal with consistent upper back pain that has not been resolved by physical therapy or massages. In September 2021 I was visiting family in Baton Rouge (I'm a BR native but moved to Houston, TX 6 years ago) and experiencing pretty intense back pain so I booked a last minute massage here with Derek Greene. The massage therapist, Derek Greene, said in the middle of the massage "Can you do something to cover "that" up to stop it from showing" (he was referring to the side of my breast that was showing when he went to massage my arm). After that I was pretty much uncomfortable throughout the whole session and was ready for it to be over. He also was very rough for a therapeutic massage and I'm currently very sore in my neck and upper back from it. The ambience is calm and inviting from the moment you walk in the door. Appointments can be made by calling or going online. You can take a little survey online to see which therapists may be best suited to your preferences for massage therapy. Everyone is incredibly friendly and they are practicing good COVID practices. Prices are on per for professional massage businesses. They do have package deals and specials to get extra bonuses over time. Absolutely magnificent - from the time I called in and spoke with the front office person Meghan (apologies If I got it wrong) to the intake process while I waited for the Massage. Derek was my therapist and he was fantastic - while I was waiting a couple that had finished their massage prior to mine raved about Derek and I was looking forward to mine. Well I wasn't disappointed - he did a great job and I am going back next week. next came the mad scientist Meaghan who took me to the second floor and did a marvelous job. An absolutely wonderful massage! My massage therapist was Sherah, and she was just fantastic. The massage itself felt amazing, and Sherah struck a really nice balance between explaining what she was doing, offering guidance when she needed me to exhale to fully release a muscle, etc. and then also providing quietude in which to savor the massage. The Massage Emporium was very accessible, and I had no trouble finding street parking on a Sunday. The atmosphere inside is very soothing, and people spoke in soft tones. First time at Massage Emporium, but it won't be my last. I'm so glad I booked my appointment, and I am especially glad that I was able to get in as soon as I did. To say that I needed the massage would be an understatement - I'd gone through a horrible experience two days before that left my body so sore that it was more pain than discomfort. I booked my appointment with Dawn, and it was the best decision I've made. I was on the brink of an anxiety attack when I got there, but she was so calm and kind to me, and just immediately helped me feel at ease. The massage was perfect

Listen people! This is my happy place. God bless the hands of Felicia. She has literally been an angel to my aching body. I love walking through the door with the essential oils meeting my nose as if the whole atmosphere is saying " You can finally unwind". I am most gracious for Felicia and the staff at ME! First timer alert!!! And I LOVED it. I will definitely be back. My boyfriend and one of our co-workers have always been recommending this place to me for massages, and I finally visited! It's such a peaceful and soothing environment. I felt so comfortable even though it was my first time getting a massage. My boyfriend came along too to finally use his gift card I had purchased for him, so we ended up doing the couples massage, him with the deep tissue.

My first time here . This place didn't disappoint! Patty was very good! Love that she gave an extra hot stone massage for the short wait! It was definitely worth the wait. For the most part, I really like this place. It's local, the prices are reasonable enough, they offer nice membership programs, and most of the massage therapists are great (though I do wish they still had their individual profiles up on the website). Mario is amazing -- he balances out his medical massages with periods of lighter therapeutic massages, which means you get a real fix for whatever ails you without being in a constant state of stress throughout the massage. Finding parking usually isn't a problem, though you need to allow extra time for dealing with downtown.

I absolutely LOVED this place! Natasha was my massage therapist and let me tell you... THE BEST! Hands down! I have had more massages than I can remember and yet this one is one I will never forget.
I felt transformed after just this one session with Natasha. I will be back and you should go too. So glad I listened to the yelp reviews and chose this place for my massage while in town. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff are warm and inviting. Small entrance so it's easy to miss, but it is there! Downtown parking can be a beast but there is a huge lot ($5 to park) just a few doors away
