Services
American Cornice Works (ACW), was founded in 1883 by Fred Buckley and A. E. English in Wichita, Kansas. In 1900, Fred Buckley bought English's share of the company. The company fabricated sheet metal products in their shop at the corner of First and Water streets in Wichita. Along with sheet metal fabrication, the company built a reputation for quality tile and slate roof installations in Wichita and throughout the Midwest.
A roof system can be designed with varying qualities of roof components. High quality components add value to roof performance, longevity, aesthetics, and other areas building owners should consider. Polyiso provides a higher R-value per inch than any commercially available insulation product. Better insulation products will reduce the cost to heat and cool a building.
Exploration Place tasked Buckley Roofing with creating a single complex with two arching roofs that bowed in opposite directions and contained 72 skylights. Coming in on time and under budget, our crews implemented the challenging design flawlessly. Buckley was chosen to restore the Davis Hall roof system at Friends University due to our experience and success in restoring historical roof structures.
