They helped us out unclogging the drain line to the street. Also put in a clean out . Had a shower handle issue which we thought was a filter issue. That wasn't it .Turned out to be a pressure valve so they didn't charge use any labor to replace the valve just for the part.Thanks very much for being so honest and fixing the problem

I rarely ever leave a negative review, but when a company isn't willing to back their service, then I'm inclined to leave a review. Down's Plumbing came out on December 27 for a sewage clog that had backed up water in our home. They informed us in advance, that it would be $622 for a 2 hour minimum charge. The co-owner arrived within 20 minutes and attempted to remove sewage clog, but never checked the other end of the pipe which my wife was concerned about. Called and spoke with Larry about my concern with having a water leak due to very high water bills. He told me the charge was $145 per hour and they would be able to find the leak with their technique, pressure testing and experience. He also said he would work with ECUA to help resolve my problem. I asked if I should call a leak detection company first and he said they charge $300 to detect the leak and he was certain he could find the leak and repair it. Hunter and Jon came today to unclog the main sewer line from our house (that snake auger is awesome!). They arrived approx. 45 minutes after I called. They were professional, courteous, friendly, and eager to get the job done. They quickly demolished the clog and Hunter also made short work of a leaking drain under the kitchen sink. I am very, very pleased with their work. They are a great asset to Downs!

I was highlighted disappointed with the lack of service and customer support by this company. I contacted them a week in advance to schedule a gas safety valve to be installed on my stove in one of my rental properties. I explained I had a tenant who was very restricted on her time availability and needed it to be done on the requested date. I was subsequently contacted by the manager who confirmed the project details and said he would personally complete the work.

After calling out another local company that advertises a lot on the radio, I just didn't feel much of a connection. They advised me against trying to drain my hot water heater, and insisted that getting a new one was the only way to go. I decided to get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did.
Downs Plumbing not only was willing to work with me on draining my existing hot water heater (saving me a bundle of money), their prices were better across the board.
