Gu's Dumplings at Krog Street Market and Halcyon are smaller versions of Gu's Bistro, our full service authentic Szechuan restaurant previously located on Buford Highway. Many of our customers complained about the long drive to Buford Highway from downtown Atlanta, so we decided to accommodate these customers.
Since our Zhong Style Dumplings and Chengdu Cold Noodle dishes have received overwhelming recognition, we decided to open a smaller version of Gu's Bistro that focuses on dumplings and noodles. We offer more dumpling filling choices, a few noodle dishes, and some of your favorites from Gu's Bistro.

There are, of course, clues to his secret. Gu admits that he adds homemade chili oil to it, and that there a total of ten ingredients-the earthy sweetness of Chinese plums pokes out its head, for one-but Gu's the only person in the world who knows precisely what goes in the dumpling sauce, in what order, or when.

Was originally a fan and would continue to go to the bufford hwy outpost but the quality of the offering at krog has turned to trash. Picked up a full order of pork dumplings right as my order hit the counter yet it was borderline cold, the dumplings falling apart and ridiculously overcooked, and the experience completely turned me off to ordering more food from here going forward.

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened at the Halcyon. I do like the restaurant and the dumplings are good. Here is my complaint, the dish that I get the most there is the Chicken w/ cilantro and broccoli. They recently have cheapened the dish with lower quality ingredients and the dish has little to no flavor anymore. I have order the dish two separate times, so it was not a coincidence. There use to be real pieces of chicken, now there are chicken balls. I am always upset when restaurants are not consistent and choose the cheap option.

A true GEM for a foodie! Gu's Dumplings(Kroger street market) & Gu's Kitchen (doraville) have AMAZING dumplings. I'd give 10/5 stars if I could for their zhong style dumplings (I typically order pork). Also on the menu is the always incredible chengdu cold noodles. The sweet and spicy thick noodles are homemade and such a delight; very chewy thick noodles in a divine sauce. There really is not an item I don't recommend! Truly an amazing place to eat. I'd hug Gu if I could!!
Gu's is a place I HIGHLY recommend. In fact, it's the first place I recommend to

I ordered delivery on Uber Eats and was in for more disappointment than I could have imagined. The Chongqing Spicy Chicken was like none I've ever come across before. The chicken wasn't fried as is the case in every other iteration on the globe, and despite ordering (and paying for) extra spiciness and those lovely numbing Szechuan peppercorns, it was quite bland and didn't have a single peppercorn in sight. If you want a very good Chongqing Chicken dish, try Urban Wu in Buckhead. The dumplings were meh, and the fried chicken was also pretty bland and didn't have the paid-for

Crispy Beef and Dumplings!
While I've had great Korean food, amazing Japanese food, and really inventive takes on Vietnamese food, the Chinese food scene in Atlanta both amuses and perplexes me. While the Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles trend is alive and well down on Buford Highway, the Chinese restaurants I've encountered everywhere else is a mish mash of authentic Chinese recipes and Americanized Chinese fare.
That's where Gu's Dumplings comes in. Located in Krog Street Market, Gu's Dumplings is the convenient takeout outpost of Gu's Bistro. Honestly, not my first

I've been eyeing this place on Uber Eats for a while and today i bit the bullet and tried it. I ordered 4 items:
JASMINE RICE: Enough said. Who doesn't love jasmine rice? The best rice in the world to me. Five stars
SZECHUAN FRENCH FRIES: These fries were odd but very good. They had spicy chili peppers, cilantro, chili powder and other seasonings. They were very good but I've never had french fries that had these seasonings on them. I would definitely order again something different to break the monotony.
PORK ZHONG STYLE DUMPLINGS: I'm really starting to like this place

It actually pains me to give a 3-star rating for Gu's Dumplings. But there aren't half ratings available.
Handmade Sweet and Spicy Thick Noodles
* These are very clearly handmade and tasty overall, but...
* The noodles are inconsistent in size, which is understandable since they are handmade, but some areas were way thicker than you'd expect out of noodles, which resulted in some noodles being too chewy.
* Just like the dumplings below, they were drowning in the sauce
Zhong Style Dumplings
* First things first, the dumplings are delicious; however...

This is located in Krog Steet Market and had the longest line of any of the other restaurants,
------FOOD & DRINKS------
Veggie Dumplings - 10/10! These were absolutely amazing and everyone agreed. I can see why Gu's Dumplings has been called one of the best Chinese Restaurants in America!
------PRICE------
Veggie Dumplings - 8 dollars for 6 (half order) or 13 dollars for 12 (full order). Save 3 dollars and get the full order because you will want more if you get the half order and will come back to order more. So just order the full order for 3 dollars

Sichuan food is some of the best in this world to me. Of course, I had to try Gu's Dumplings when a friend raved on about how good they were. And if I didn't like them... anything covered in hot chili oil usually does the trick anyway ;)
Off the bat, I noticed that they were pretty pricy and was hoping they'd be sizable for the cost. Dumplings have such range, so you never quite know what you're going to get. Happy to report that they were stuffy with lots of wonton skin, for that extra oily bite. These weren't the best dumplings in the world, but they are damn good.

Delicious! My friend and I got there early, and had barely any wait to get our dumplings. We both got ours extra spicy because that's what we like— they were still pretty mild, but oh my goodness were they yummy! The staff working were amazing, too, and were friendly and helpful to two new customers!

Ordered the spicy dried beef noodles for $15 including tax and tip. I expected spicy noodles, but what I didn’t expect was the complete lack of beef. There was maybe a tablespoon of ground beef in my bowl, and that’s being generous.
I also didn’t expect how ridiculously spicy the noodles were. I’m no stranger to spicy foods, trust me, but this dish seemed like it was seasoned exclusively with chili oil. It was borderline uncomfortable to eat with the spiciness overpowering any other flavor this dish may have had.

On a super hot June day I really wanted to try something at Gu's but wasn't in the mood for anything hot ... so I got the Cold Chengdu noodles. They were fantastic and delicious! Only wish there was another ingredient in the dish - it was just endless noodles and two or three bean sprouts (and several green onions). It was as spicy as suggested, enough that you felt something but wasn't too bad that you need to guzzle water after. Great dish for sharing around with others with another order.
Super fast service!!

Oh my god, where to begin with these dumplings???
Ever since I moved to ATL I heard people waxing poetic about the dumplings here at Gu's. However, I was hesitant to try them for fear of being disappointed (because that happens sometimes with places that people hype up so much). But wow, nope, no lies detected here--Gu's Dumplings serves up THE best dumplings I have EVER had in my life. Every time I ordered dumplings in the past and felt like "that's it?? That's what all the hype is about?" made me wonder if I just don't like dumplings. I figured I would try

I so so wanted to love the Gu's Dumplings location in Krog Street. Came during the pandemic so we got takeout; staff were masked and had plastic barriers between them and customers. We didn't feel comfortable eating there (seems masks in KSM are more of a suggestion) but it seems they just package everything to go anyway. Service was super friendly and my order came out about 5 minutes after ordering.
I got the half pork dumplings, string beans, and dan dan noodles. Enough for two people; portions are big enough - prices are KSM fair, which is to say slightly overpriced but on par for
