Ms. Longwell has concentrated her practice in family law and related matters for over 20 years, handling cases primarily in Cook, DuPage, Will, and Lake Counties. She represents men and women in divorce, custody, support, paternity and post-divorce litigation. She also is frequently appointed to represent children in Cook County divorce and parentage cases.
In 2014, Cristina graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with her Juris Doctorate and certificates in Advocacy and Child and Family Law. While at Loyola, she served as Junior Editor and Assistant Symposium Editor of the Children's Legal Right Journal.
She also worked at Civitas ChildLaw Center and ChildLaw Clinic providing research and representation for children in Domestic Relations and Child Protection cases and earning the CALI Award for her diligence.Her legal knowledge combined with her passion for children and family relationships allows her to effectively advocate for clients.

I hired Marilyn in the summer 2017 to represent me in the final stage of my divorce. My ex was refusing to participate in the process, show up at court., after I filed two years ago. Marilyn was able to quickly secure a trial date which sped things up. We were able to hammer out a fair deal for all sides with unique strategies my previous attorney never mentioned (his rate was lower but less experienced).
