Services
Seven Hair Studio is located at 2440 E. 4th st. Long Beach, CA. 90814. We are near retro row and are part of the 4th Street Business Association. We are a certified green business and are committed to sustainability. We use PETA certified, sustainable products; and water saving "Ecoheads" showerheads on our shampoo bowls.
Our stylists offer a variety of services; including cuts, color, highlights, texturizing, ombre, balayage, Hotheads extensions (tape-in) and Brazilian Blowout. We use primarily Kevin Murphy and Eleven styling products. Both are Peta certified and Eleven has both vegan and gluten free products. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, there will be a $25-$50 rebooking fee, depending on type of services.
Our stylists use Pravana, Joico, and Pulp Riot vivids and pastel colors-pastels must be done on very light blonde hair. We LOVE the Formula 18 mask which helps to rebuild the hair and is wonderful after any type of lightening service. We proudly offer Brazilian Blowout shampoo, conditioner, and masque, which are vegan, gluten free, AND do not test on animals.
Our stylists are Celia Brennan, owner of the salon; Isabel Ponce, Heather Gorbea, Keri Ryan, and Amanda Hall. Celia has been a hair stylist/color expert for 15 years. She has been educated in both cut and color at the TIGI (Toni & Guy) Advanced Academy. She is also a certified Master Colorist by Framesi.
If you would like to make an appointment, it is best to contact the stylist that you have in mind. If you send an email you will get a reply within a couple days. If you don't have a stylist preference, you may call or text Celia and she will set you up with the first available appointment. Weekends are normally booked a week or 2 in advance.

I've been in Long Beach for the past few months for work and have noticed a huge difference in my hair since I've been out here. Looks like a lot of 5 stars for this Salon! (There's always a few unhappy people wherever you go.) I have been Heather's client for years and have only known her to honest and professional. I've had short hair, medium, blond, red, auburn, pink, highlights and have always been very happy with the results. Maybe because Heather's good about communicating what can realistically be expected and then gets me to my goal. She's also excellent at helping me maintain the health of my hair and scalp. I'd highly recommend the salon and Heather.

My go to hair salon. Always Good parking. I feel the salon is clean and well kept. The restroom is sanitized and very well supplied. The girls are always friendly and pleasant . Heather has my back, she has mastered my haircut. She is friendly and we have great conversations, actually mostly laughs. I have recommended so many of my friends to her. If you happen to find yourself at Seven Hair Studio and unfortunately receive Heather Gorbea as your stylist, find someplace else or request for a different stylist ASAP. I am not the first to comment on her attitude; she was extremely pushy and RUDE and insisted that she couldn't do what I wanted, that is, a simple balayage. I should've walked out then and there but I didn't. It turns out that her skills are equally as poor as her attitude. My hair turned out choppy and orange. My go to for hair for years. The Phrase "you get what you pay for" really fits. May be on the pricy side for some, but you can't beat the customer service, personability, and flexibilty. I love this adorable salon in Retro Row! I've been getting my hair done by Heather for years now, and she's never let me down. I like to switch it up with my style from time to time and she's always skillfully taken my hair from long to short, dark to light and back again, or even helped me transition from shorter styles to gracefully growing it out. I love how she takes the health of my hair into consideration and helps me figure out how to keep my hair looking amazing and achieve whatever style I'm hoping for, while making sure I take care of my hair's long term health

Absolutely love this salon! I went to Heather G. for full highlights and I am so beyond happy with my hair. It gave me such a confidence boost. She has a client for life in me! She is also absolutely as sweet as can be and very patient. Do not go! The staff was sweet but unfortunately Heather was not,she so unprofessional! Do not book an appointment with HEATHER G. She was so rude to my son and I! One, she was not ready to work she had us wait such a long time with a appointment.? When I finally got to sit down in her chair she didn't want to touch my hair she rolled her eyes and and told me that no way could I get what I wanted done. All I wanted was a little cut a least if even that.I'll never be back.

I was referred to Amanda on the Seven Hair Studio IG account, and it's been so nice. I recently left my previous stylist because I felt my needs were not being met, and Amanda has been a breath of fresh air since. She's friendly, easy going and has helped my hair so much. Loved how fast and responsive this salon is. I was able to get booked with Amanda who was able to squeeze me into an appointment. I had a very old balayage that had grown out and was looking to get a chocolate balayage and a money piece. I have a lot of hair so it took a while but I'm super happy with the outcome! What can I say? I've been to a lot of salons all over the US and this one is one of the best. Amanda was fantastic and literally so detailed with my balayage. I was so impressed with her skill and ability to make you feel comfortable. All COVID protocols were followered. The salon itself is very clean and fun!

Amanda did an AMAZING job with my hair. I asked for a subtle balayage and that's exactly what she gave me-- I couldn't be happier with the color. During the appointment she really took her time with every step from color to cut.
I really appreciated that she explained the steps as she went and there were no surprises. She's also just a really sweet person, she made me feel comfortable and the time went by quickly.
In addition, I felt comfortable in the salon even during covid, all precautions were followed to keep us both safe :)

On Feb 15th I had Taylor ombre my hair. On Feb 18th I reached out to her to let her know that over the weekend I noticed half of my hair was a lot more orange / darker than the other half and that I wasn't happy with the results. After two days she responded back letting me know she could either fix that side of my hair or she could re-bleach my whole head again and I just needed to pay for the products. That is where it went down hill...
I ended up going with her recommendation of re-bleaching my ombre. She left the bleach on my hair for 40 minutes and killed it!!! My hair is fried!!!! I

Go see Javier! Found this salon online and as it was near my home, decided to go. The Yelp ratings also helped me make a decision. In any case, Javier was the stylist I booked my appointment with and all I can say is WOW! Great service, laid back, didn't make me feel awkward about cut or color and I came out with the best cut, easy style and color I still get compliments on. Go see Javier!
