Every stage of life presents different challenges and opportunities for growth. Having worked as a licensed psychotherapist for 30 years with children, adults, couples, and families, I am a resource for people seeking to meet those challenges, resolve difficult problems, and achieve the growth that results from this process.
Finding the right individual, child, family, or couples therapist can be difficult and confusing. If you are looking for a therapist to help you reduce or manage stress in your family life or in the parent-child relationship, you may be wondering where to begin. You might consider starting with individual sessions for yourself or parenting sessions.

Services
My role as a licensed therapist and counselor is helping people of all ages and walks of life work through difficult problems and get relief, or find satisfying resolutions to frustrating conflicts. After working with children and adults in various life stages over the last 30 years, I have developed a therapeutic framework that I utilize in every therapy relationship.
For 30 years, I have been helping adults with depression, anxiety, life-stage transitions, relationship issues, parent-child problems, post-traumatic stress, loss and grief, and family of origin issues. Psychotherapy can provide a safe place to examine the past and understand the present, and can contribute to a greater sense of resilience, emotional well being and increased self-esteem.
Do you frequently feel angry toward your partner? Are you distant from one another? Has your sex life become unsatisfying or frustrating? Do you find you are both "keeping score" and feel resentful about how much work you do in home life? Do you know how to have a fair fight in your relationship, or are your conflicts characterized by destructive anger?
Children can benefit greatly when a partnership between therapist, parents and teachers (when appropriate) is put in place. My approach to child therapy includes working closely with parents and working with children individually beginning at age four in my playroom, utilizing play therapy and art therapy techniques, as well as helping children develop problem solving strategies.
Is your answer "Yes" to any of the following questions? If so, you are not alone. These are common concerns of parents today that can be resolved through parenting sessions. Do you find that parenting in today's narcissistic and materialistic times undermines your parental authority?. Has your child had a difficult or traumatic experience that has left you worried or unsure of how to best offer support?.
