Services
Born in 1964, Alfred grew up in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He attended Mount Saint Charles Academy and graduated in 1982 before attending New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences for Funeral Directing Service. Al is a third-generation funeral director and has more than 30 years experience as a funeral director and embalmer.

The Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory has provided our community with the best quality staff, facilities and equipment possible. Cremation, as well as burial and entombment, is the final destination of the funeral. Most families choose viewing, religious services, and chapel services preceding the actual cremation although direct cremation can be your option. Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory provides cremation as an environmentally responsible alternative to burial.

I called there at 7 am to get some information and left a message to return my call...as my father in law had passed away a couple of hours earlier. When my call was returned i found the man on the phone to be very abrupt and uncaring. I had asked about cremation services as our budget is limited...his answer was...this is the price...whatever else you want is up to you...out of my hands. so i asked a couple of more questions and he sounded irritated so i ended the conversation and hung up.
