Mr. Chance and his team are relatable yet professional, and hard working yet accessible. They were available for discussion, follow through, and maintaining a level of integrity that I value in the martial arts teachings. They valued the holistic approach to each student by offering accountability training from the school day to the dojo. It is SO much more than an afterschool program for us! I would highly recommend this program for any age!

We found Chance and New Era Martial Arts completely by accident. After seeing an ad on the Facebook for summer camp, and needing something for our then 9 year old to do we signed up. We couldn't have made a better decision that day, almost six years later our son has come so very far. He has not only learned a lot from Chance but we have watched Chance learn so much from his students. He is great with the kids and exerts the utmost patience and understanding while still holding students accountable to their goals. New Era is more than a martial arts school it is our second family.

Positive: Quality
If you are looking for a great school, great training, and great discipline this is the place, even virtually. Could not have asked for a better instructor for my son to build his confidence and getting him ready for tournaments. Thanks Mr. Chance!!!!

Great place for little ones to learn martial arts and burn off energy. My 7 year old has enjoyed New Era's after school program and he looks forward to his classes even after several months. Chance Turner is a real stand up guy who is great with kids of all ages. I recommend New Era Martial Arts and I plan on enrolling my kiddo in next year's after school program.

A friend recommended New Era Martial Arts as we were looking for a summer camp for our son last year and we are so thankful for that recommendation. Chance has impressed us from day one! His positive and friendly attitude, his calm energy and strong communication skills with both his students and parents are a great combination for a solid leader who is well respected by his students. Most importantly, Chance really enjoys teaching these kids and cares about their success and it is very evident when watching the classes. We highly recommend New Era!

Not quite new but very much up and coming place to put your kiddos in for after school program/ care. They really care about your child’s progress. The owner / teacher is a renowned active competitor and will get your child competition ready for the matches. Chance is a very nice but stern coach. He teaches much needed body discipline. You can clearly see he loves what he does. If you are seriously thinking about it, you won’t be disappointed! Unfortunately, we are moving and will miss them very much. This place is a local south Austin gem! Cheers!

Does your karate instructor still compete? Is your karate instructor in good physical shape? Do the students in your current dojo compete in outside tournaments? Do you want to know how to defend yourself or do you simply want a colored belt? You need to answer these questions before you choose a martial arts program. My son has trained with Chance Turner and his network of talented martial artists since 2010. I feel confident my son can hold his own after competing against the best martial artists in the U.S. and abroad. In my profile are a few photos of our home gym trophy collection as well

My son has been attending new era martial arts since he was 3 years old. He is about to turn 6, and absolutely loves his classes. I have witness how his focus, flexibility, and motor skills have improved throughout his journey with New Era.
Mr. Chance and Ms. Rose are top notch instructors. They not only teach their students, but care for their well being and success! Thank you for all your patience and hard work.

I strongly encourage any women who are not only looking to lose weight but to also become strong, to join this class. Rose Whitely is an AMAZING instructor. She is loving, kind and sweet. She also pushes you further than what you think you are capable of. I have torn both of my ACLs in each knee which made exercise almost impossible for me. Rose was able to help me strengthen both of my knees and make exercise not only possible but enjoyable again. She is always make sure our form is correct so we dont further injure ourselves. She is such a peppy and outgoing person and always manages to make

I found this place through a great offer on Groupon. I've been looking for ways to keep my 4yr old busy this summer along with teaching him some discipline. We came in for an intro class which was 30 min one on one with the instructor. The instructor was very patient with my stubborn son and got him excited to come back for class the next day.

The following day, class was an hour long. Started off with stretching and warm ups, then taught them several techniques. It was soooo adorable seeing all the children yelling "Kia!" and "Yes, Sir!" You can tell they were all having
