We are living in the era of the Internet without a "surgeon general's warning" on our devices to inform us of any potential negative side effects. The Internet provides us with 24-hour access to activities that lead to addictions, affairs, and cyberbullying. The Internet provides us with 24-hour access to activities that can lead to addictions, affairs, and cyberbullying.

I understand your struggle and how your lives, relationships and families are being torn apart due to betrayal, job loss, legal issues, a lack of self-esteem, a need for immediate gratification, financial ruin, academic decline, and online safety issues. I'm here to help! Even though an online addiction does not involve drugs or alcohol, it can be as equally destructive.
Services
Specialties at a glance: Online addictions (gaming, pornography, gambling, cybersex, and social media), online affairs, and cyberbullying. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that is passionate about improving the lives and relationships of my clients. I have lived up and down the East coast.

I was born and raised in North Carolina, received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Howard University in Washington, DC, my Master's Degree in Social Work from University of Maryland Baltimore, and my Doctorate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.I have been living and enjoying the cultural diversity (especially the food) of the Miami area for over 10 years.
When we are experiencing distress we sometimes lose sight of our strengths and let the negative feelings and situations take over. I am here to remind you of your strengths, develop solutions, and provide guidance and support so you can renew, rebuild, or recover from your personal or relational challenges caused by the Internet.
Do you need support, but can't make it to an in-person appointment? Are you a busy stay-at-home or working parent, and don't have the time to drive across town for an appointment? Telehealth allows us to provide counseling and therapy to our clients via live video conferencing. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone.
I have always tried to work from a prevention versus intervention standpoint when it comes to addressing mental health needs. Workshops with a psycho-educational focus help me achieve this goal. I want to educate the community at large to prevent online affairs, cyberbullying, and online addictions.
First things first, I want to congratulate you on taking the first step to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker! The world needs more Social Workers like you! Becoming a Registered Intern is exciting but it can be a bit daunting as well. It is important to have someone that has "been there done that" to provide some advice, support, and guidance along your journey.
