Maesk Group Counseling
Do you have depression that keeps you from connecting with others or thriving in your career? Anxiety or stress that is crippling your life? Anger that gets in the way of relationships? Or perhaps your marriage or relationship seems to be crumbling. If any of these hits home with you, therapy will you.

Whatever you may be facing today that keeps you from fully enjoying life, coming in for an assessment will either rule out any problems or help pinpoint what needs to be addressed. We will then develop a treatment plan that is designed to get you back on track quickly.
Services
Doug Maesk, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, offers therapy for anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, & PTSD. Anxiety becomes a disorder when the symptoms become chronic and interfere with your daily life and your ability to function. These symptoms may be severe and upsetting enough to make you feel extremely uncomfortable, out of control and helpless.
Clinical depression is more that just feeling "blue" from time to time. It is a serious condition that affects a person's mind, body, and spirit and impacts every aspect of one's life. Depression is one of the most common mental health conditions affecting almost 10% of the population each year. If you feel you are suffering from depression, you may experience some, but not all, of these symptoms.
Let's face it: drug counseling or alcohol treatment isn't the first thing you think of when you think of life in South Florida. But if you are stuck in a pattern of harmful use of any substance for mood-altering purposes then you know the feeling of being trapped. In addition to being physically addictive, some drugs can also be psychologically addictive.
Counseling and psychotherapy for gay, lesbian, bi, transgender and questioning adults and adolescents. Being Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender or Questioning (GLBTQ), you have unique needs and concerns. The GLBTQ community in the Fort Lauderdale area faces unique pressures from the underlying homophobia in our culture.
The parent-child relationship is extremely important to healthy adolescent development. Unfortunately, in many families, this unique period of adolescence can push teenagers and their parents drastically apart. Understanding the unique experiences of both parent and child can help families navigate this complicated period of transition.

My wife and I went for a couple of months of marriage counseling. We had some ongoing issues we weren't able to resolve on our own. Mr. Maesk's clear, unambiguous understanding of our problems allowed us to see the "light at the end of the tunnel" where we couldn't on our own. I only wish we'd have found him sooner.

I thought I simply had a case of "the blues" which wouldn't go away with only the passage of time. Mr. Maesk quickly realized I was actually dealing with depression and was able to set me on a path to recovery. I can't thank him enough. If you have a problem, deal with it...it won't go away on its own.

I can't thank Doug enough !!

After the loss of my partner, I realized I needed to talk to someone about my pain and how I felt. I had tried talking to friends and various family members but I lacked the professional feedback and assessment that I so desperately needed. I had attended several counseling sessions with a female therapist but I was having trouble relating to her therapy style. Finally, after reviewing his website and credentials, I started counseling sessions with Doug Maesk.

Two sessions into my treatment, I realized how much he was helping me deal with the sorrow that

Do not trust Doug Maesk with your personal life. Do not trust him with your credit card, debit card, or any bank information. He is not trust worthy, here is why:

I started seeking therapy from Doug Maesk about a year ago. The whole time I paid my insurance premium and I payed the copay for every visit for about 10 months. Las August my insurance company Humana (who I'm not exactly happy with either) realized that they had been processing his claims wrong for the last 10 months. Doug Maesk then held me personally liable for a misdo that was between him and my insurance company, without giving
