The faucet in my shower was leaking. Even thought it took three trips to get it fixed, Gene did a great job. First the faucet was frozen in place because of my high calcium content in my water. Gene had me get some CLR cleaner & spray the faucet every over day for a while. When he came back, the faucet came apart & we discovered that the new part had to be ordered in. The part came in less than three days later & now I am back in business. Gene was helpful & professional thru the entire ordeal.

I used Tucker's for the first time per a friend's referral and was very satisfied. I got the appointment at the desired time. I signed up for membership which helped reduce price already in the first visit. The technician, Kevin, showed up on time and did a professional work, including changing the necessary part in the outside unit. Thank you so much

Jonah cleaned our heating/air conditioning wall unit. He did an amazingly thorough job of it. It looks like new and of course will run better for the cleaning. He was so pleasant and professional. He has done routine checks also and does a very good job, explaining exactly what he is doing.

I first met Jonah when he came to perform the fall/winter HVAC maintenance (including a steam humidifier). Jonah communicated clearly his arrival window and was very professional from start to finish. He was very friendly and provided information about the systems along with recommendations to keep the systems up and running in times of power outage or potential leaks. Jonah's recommendations were met with agreement to install additional equipment to which when he came back, again was very professional and informative on how things worked. We hired Tucker's when we had a copper pipe leak. They did not determine the cause of the leak the night they came out. Cut the drywall in several areas and were wrong about the source of the leak. Came the following day and made the cuts to the drywall even bigger. Don't know why they did this as they already knew the leak was not in that spot. For being experienced plumbers I was not impressed. Quoted $1200 for repair saying they had to remove a vent pipe etc but actually did not end up doing that at all. Repair took a very short time. I called Tuckers to get an estimate on my Heating and Cooling system. I could not believe the price that they were quoting for an Amana System. It was just a heat pump system in a townhouse not too complicated. They are trying to push a low grade product at a higher than market price. I found local companies installing name brand equipment for cheaper and I am glad I got multiple bids.
I realize that the employee that came to the house does not set the prices and is doing his job and I would have used them if it not been for the price and grade of product.

I found Tuckers on Yelp and after reading the reviews, decided to give them a try. I had a heating issue on a rental I own and am always skeptical about company's sending techs who want to write up estimates that include a lot more work than is really required. I had called the dispatcher and had discussed ahead of time that if the repairs were less than a certain amount, they should go ahead and do it and not call me for an approval. I then waited...to get a call...that my repairs would be a lot of $$$s and more than expected. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't get a call other

We needed to replace some freon in our air conditioning and ended up getting charged $700 by the contractor that showed up and replaced a small amount of freon in our AC System. When pressed to justify these exorbitant costs, the manager adjusted the price. This is a dishonest practice and we will not be trusting Tuckers HVAC in the future if their contractors continue to behave abhorrently.

This review is specific to HVAC repair. Our AC system was not blowing out any cold air and we thought we'd need to replace the entire system. We initially called FH Furr to come do a diagnostic. They eventually determined that a part in our system was broken and that it would cost several thousand dollars to repair. Because our system was so old, they recommended a full replacement. We decided to get a second opinion with Tuckers.

Update on my plumbing review of 12/9/16. After a discussion with the owner, Ken Tucker, he admitted that they had fallen short on the plumbing service and agreed to refund the fee for their service contract. Nobody's perfect, but I consider this the mark of a responsible company.
I would still recommend them for their HVAC service, which has been consistently good.

Date of service: Oct. 2015: We hired Tuckers A/C Heating & Plumbing for a large, 3-system job in our home (1st floor, 2nd floor and sunroom). The net result was terrific and we highly recommend Tuckers. Our existing systems were still working, but more than 22 years old, extremely noisy, inefficient and expensive on the electric bill. We feared for being stuck in a bad position this winter.
