We strive to run on time so you won't be kept waiting, and we ask you to arrive for your appointments on time as well. We understand that you are busy, and your time is valuable to us. Services
Lorie is our Office Manager and Insurance Coordinator. She helps patients understand their dental insurance benefits and our financial policies. She was a dental assistant for 20 years before moving to the front office. She moved to Mount Pleasant in 2010 and has been with our office ever since. She has three handsome sons and a beautiful granddaughter.
He graduated, with distinction, from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1996. Prior to starting his state-of-the-art office in Mount Pleasant, he practiced in Montana and Minnesota. He lived in Charleston as a child when his father was on the faculty at MUSC. His love of the ocean and the outdoors along with the desire to raise his son close to friends and family has brought him back to the Lowcountry.

Highly recommend! I had to switch dentists due to the last practice dropping my insurance coverage. Everyone at Rivertowne Family Dentistry was super nice and professional. They took the time to explain the x-rays and made the experience very pain-free! Best part - they are less than 5 minutes from my house!

My family has gone to Rivertowne Family Dentistry for several years and I can honestly say I look forward to going! They are all friendly, consistently the same people and low pressure on advice for dental work. Dr. Swenson is kind, knowledgeable and explains dental information clearly so that the average person (like me) can make a sound choice.

Discovered Dr Swenson 5 years ago before I had moved here permanently when I broke a tooth and his office fit me in quickly. He remains a wonderful skilled dentist, very informative and his staff are all skilled hygienists. Tess has been my hygienist most recently and she is engaging, competent and gentle.

My visit today was for a routine cleaning and examination. Clear directions were provided by text concerning my arrival and initial contact with the office staff to insure the safety of all. A temperature check and a short survey prior to my examination was completed quickly and then it was time for a thorough cleaning. The visit was the same as always, professional and complete. Except for some additional protective equipment the visit was uneventful. Emily is confident and a wonderful hygienist, efficient and again, thorough. She even took time to show me some new equipment she was using during
