My name is Mandi Kelloway, lead stylist and owner of Once Upon A Stylist. A Jacksonville native, I grew up in the salon business and have been beautifying Jacksonville for over 18 years. Most days, you can find me and my team beautifying my clients at a salon located in historic San Marco - near the heart of Jacksonville.
I have the pleasure of working alongside not just my mother but also some of the most talented artists in the hair industry! I specialize in an array of hair services but am well known for being able to single- handedly beautify large bridal parties with flair and precision. I am also the very proud founder of the Just For Grins Foundation benefitting girls born with Cleft Lip and Palate.

Mandi is so amazing at wedding hairstyles! I was fortunate enough to have Mandi do an updo for me for my wedding ceremony and another style for my reception! I couldn’t be happier with how pretty both styles looked! She also did my entire bridal party and they all looked amazing!!! So happy I had her for my wedding day!!

It was definitely hard planning the wedding from so far away (I live in DC, but got married in Gainesville, FL), but Mandi was great to work with throughout the process!
The hair trial, for me, was essential. I have baby fine, straight hair that I feel can be difficult to work with because it just wants to go back to being straight and flat. Mandi was so welcoming and flexible - she really put me at ease. In the trial, she tried multiple looks for me and my mom. I was pretty set on the up-do from the beginning, but my mom was on the fence, so seeing the other options - which are a little more

Mandi is the ONLY hair stylist I trust to recommend to my clients. As a wedding photographer, it is extremely important to me that my brides are radiant for their wedding day. Mandi not only delivers incredible hair styles, but she also makes sure every girl feels like a princess! The process is just as important as the final result. I even made sure she was the hair stylist for my best friend's wedding (which I was also a bridesmaid in!) so I've experienced Mandi's handy-work first hand! ;)

I hired Mandi to do my hair for my wedding, and it was one of the best decisions I made! I actually discovered Mandi at a bridal expo. I feel very lucky that I did! She was very professional and worked with me to help plan a time for our hair trial. As soon as the trial was over, I paid her in full knowing that I needed her to be the one to do my wedding hair! Not only did she answers all of my questions and concerns along the way.. she also offered her own opinions and expert advice until I was completely satisfied. I've never received so many compliments on my hair! She also did 7 of my bridesmaids
