I am a Pensacola, FL native. In 2001 I moved to Gainesville, Fl to study at the University of Florida to obtain my B.S. and M.S. in the area of Family, Youth and Community Sciences with a concentration in Youth. In 2014 my family and I moved back to Pensacola, Fl and I decided to pursue my Masters in the area of Counseling and Psychology.
Upon graduation, I set out on a path of finding myself and helping my community in the process, eventually leading me to pursue my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I truly believe everything we are, and everything we do, goes back to our roots, starting with our own families. Until we are able to heal what struggles we face internally, it is difficult for us to show up fully and healthy in the outward areas of our lives.
The following self-help books were considered excellent by a significant number of mental health practitioners in a large survey. This is only a partial list of the most highly rated books. Letting Go of Anger: The 10 Most Common Anger Styles and What to Do About Them by Ron Potter-Efron, et al. A Volcano in My Tummy: Helping Children to Handle Anger: A Resource Book for Parents, Caregivers and Teachers by Eliane Whitehouse, Warwick Pudney.
We are individually specialized in multiple areas where we often use integrative approaches to meet your needs. We seek counseling in our everyday lives from our friends, family, church or social media. The truth is that sometimes that's not enough. Pursuing counseling does not mean that something is wrong with you.
