Put very simply, A chiropractic adjustment is a treatment used to correct a subluxation. A subluxation is a slight misalignment and/or restriction in motion that may occur at any joint in the body, but more especially the joints of the spine. This results in interference with normal nerve function.
The treatment for subluxations (the chiropractic adjustment) can take on many forms ranging from a high velocity thrust to non-force techniques such as blocking, cranial sacral techniques, or Reiki. The choice of which techniques to use and when, depends on a variety of factors such as patient needs, diagnosis, patient preferences and the education and preferences of the doctor.

Services
At 'Ohana care chiropractic, we believe that there is no greater calling than that of a Mommy or a Daddy. As a husband and Daddy to 5 young children, Dr. Ty understands this on an intimate level. His experiences surrounding his family led him to seek out specialized training in the treatment of pregnant women and young children.
The patient will fill out the necessary paperwork and the doctor will do a consultation, comprehensive health history and an examination. If appropriate, treatment may begin on the first visit. X-rays may or may not be required to start treatment depending on the history and examination findings. During the consultation, history and exam, the doctor will determine if a referral for other health care services is needed.

I was looking for a pediatric chiropractor for my 3 year old daughter for her chronic ear infections. She also had fluid buildup in her right ear that blocked her hearing. I'm so glad we found Dr Ty! We went from one ear infection a month to no ear infections in the last 6 months at all, and no more fluid buildup. He's great with kids I highly recommend!

Was in Honolulu for vacation with the family and the back started to act up - perfect !!

I've been going to Dr. Ty at Ohana Care Chiropractic for about 5 years now. I couldn't recommend him more. Initially, I found it helpful to have some work done on my lower back from some chronic pain; since, I've gotten to know Dr. Ty and his family, and have learned the reasons behind his genuine passion for treating pregnant women and their newborns. My husband injured himself playing racquetball he was in a lot of pain and couldn't move his arm and shoulder. He was unable to get in to see a doctor so he went to see Dr. Ty at Ohana Care Chiropractic for the first time. He was able to relieve most of his pain in that first visit with some mobility back in his arm. After 3 more visits he was back to normal, actually better than normal. I've been going to a chiropractor for over 5 years and it has been great. I was in need if an emergency adjustment and my normal chiropractor wasn't there, so I booked with Ohana.
Dr. Ty was the best switch I could've made, he knew directly and efficiently where and how to fix my back, not only that but shoulders and hands too!
I'm an avid grappler so my body gets out of alignment often. Dr. Ty, who has a wrestling background, knows exactly what to target.
