I have lived in Vacaville since the early 60's and have attended services at McCune Garden Chapel for many friends and family members. My brother passed away recently and had purchased a pre-need package several years ago (thank you brother for planning ahead as it alleviated many of my concerns) which covered most of the expenses. My primary contact was with Vince, who was both professional as well as compassionate in helping me through this difficult time. He clearly communicated what choices my brother had made, what was included in the package and what was not, all while maintaining

I needed a feather certificate for my father who died in 1960. I remembered that McCune has provided the services even though I was only 8 at the time. He died in a different county but they obtained a copy of the certificate very quickly. I've attended other services at McCunes and I've always found them to be great.

McCune just helped me with my father's funeral. Janet Kelly exceeded my expectations. She was professional but kind and compassionate. I had read that funeral service organizations were primarily concerned with making money. We had the opposite experience as they went out of their way to suggest cost saving plans. The funeral was today and my entire my family was very impressed by the service. Thank you Janet.

Although they handled my father's funeral well, the billing practiced by this company is designed to profit as much as possible. It was probably in the contract, but I did not pick up on the fact they bundle funerals in packages. Just like a car dealer, if a buyer wants heated seats, the buyer must pay for a sunroof as well. In other words, I was charged for things I did not use. Specifically, I was charged $85 for 100 memorial cards, which at my request was not printed. Disgusting business practice!!
