I am a portrait, business branding, and real estate photographer in Hopewell Junction, NY, serving the Hudson Valley area, primarily in Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester, and Orange counties. I'm a midwestern girl at heart, having been raised in Oklahoma, but have come to love the landscape, climate, and abundance of opportunities in New York over the past 31 years.
My husband and I raised our four children here, and they are now scattered across the country following their own endeavors. My photography business was launched 11 years ago, and what I've discovered is that everyone has a story to tell through photos. Who you are, what/who drives you to succeed in life, and what you're most passionate about - those are the things I draw from through the lens of my camera.

So why portrait photography? Because it's one of the best ways to show people how uniquely beautiful they are. Simple as that. The portrait studio started as a vision about four years ago, and the search was on to find a commercial space to rent in the Hudson Valley. Turns out, the hardest part was finding ceilings that are high enough to put up backdrops and lighting.
Then we found this 2000 square-foot gem, nestled at the entrance of a beautiful residential neighborhood in Hopewell Junction, NY, in a 2-story building that looks more like a large house than a commercial building.My studio is on the second floor, and I am one of 5 businesses in the building. With graph paper, ruler, and pencil in hand, I started sketching out my ideas into an initial design.
