We are a woman-owned and women-staffed business.
Every cake and dessert we make is hand crafted from scratch, with industry-leading artistry and attention-to-detail. We are passionate about design, and we work hard to keep pushing the boundaries of our art form. Our ideal new team members are looking to expand their skills, and flourish as part of our creative team.
All of our sugar flowers are made in house, one petal at a time. Each year, we spend countless hours researching flowers and developing our skills - and we love to share our knowledge via online tutorials and in-person workshops. Our goal is not to compete with nature, but to celebrate its beauty and produce breathtaking adornments for our cakes.
Yes, they're all SUGAR flowers! We make them by hand, in our studio. We also offer "kitchen" cakes (undecorated additional servings to supplement tiered cake orders) for $5.25 per serving. Our smallest "kitchen" cake serves 32, and our largest serves 108. You can always order several kitchen cakes if you want different flavors for your guests, or are planning a large reception.

When we first saw the amazing sugar flowers Carla creates for Honey Crumb cakes, we knew we had found our perfect cake - however we were planning an entirely plant-based wedding and have a high bar for our desserts so really hoped Honey Crumb would have something available for our wedding and the cake would taste as amazing as it looked. I worked with Carla on my wedding cake. Our cake vendor pulled out very close to the wedding and Honey Crumb were able to help us last minute even though they were booked. Carla was extremely professional and cared a lot about making the perfect cake for us. She took our schedule and came in quietly with the cake, set up the flowers on it without having to contact us. Needless to say, the cake was delicious (not too sweet which is the case with many wedding cakes) and really pretty and classy. We ordered one of the basic cakes (semi-naked) and even then it was gorgeous.

First off I just have to thank Carla so so very much! She was patient with my order, as I've never ordered a cake like this before. To add to the chaos, I don't live in Seattle. My big family and I were traveling to Washington to surprise my dad (he's there for work) for his 60th birthday. Honey Crumb converted us to cake! Ordering online was so easy and timely. Our cake was moist, creamy, and not too rich. We ordered the watercolor cake with buttercream icing and raspberry filling. My husband and I hired Carla and her team for our wedding in September 2019. From the moment we first reached out to Honey Crumb, my husband and I were impressed. We didn't really have a plan for our wedding cake going in to our first meeting with Honey Crumb, but Carla took our ideas and theme and created a fantastic sketch showing exactly what we wanted! I need everyone in the world to know just how amazing Honey Crumb is. Carla was absolutely fabulous from beginning to end. With COVID, I was lucky to even have found a bakery that was open. I was so thankful that they did cakes without specific ingredients too! My husband found out just two years ago that he's allergic to eggs, and it's been tough to find recipes, let alone bakeries and such that make items without eggs. I handpicked Carla to do my wedding cake for my upcoming wedding this year because her prices are plainly listed on her catalog, and her cakes are visually stunning. 1) My custom cake design was very simple with just one animal figure and few letters, but I still wanted to give Carla as much detail as possible so I wrote her in detail. I also inquired about the cost of the cake, but she replied with total cost without providing any breakdowns. This led to some follow up emails as I wanted to understand what I would pay for.

TL;DR: After refusing to discuss ANY refund of our ~$600 deposit for our COVID-19 cancelled wedding cake, my fiancee and I each left a 1-star review for Honey Crumb. Carla then harassed us, called us petty, vindictive, and entitled, and told us we were "playing victim". You can read all of this in her original reply, attached below as a screenshot. One week later, she has suddenly refunded the entire deposit without explanation. We are still hurt and shocked by our interactions with her, but are changing this review from 1-star to 2-stars to reflect this. We are leaving our original review

Amazing customer service during this COVID-19 quarantine times. The owner was very very nice and caring made sure we were satisfied with the cake for my daughters 1st Birthday. The cake tastes amazing and looked great as well! They also completed by last minute request for the smash cake on the house. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great cakes!

Just celebrated my daughter's birthday yesterday and as a special treat I ordered a small cake from Honey Crumb to showcase the cake and champagne celebration. Carla couldn't have been more delightful to work with, from start to finish she was very responsive and the end result exceeded my expectations! I ordered the dark chocolate cake with mocha filling and a turquoise tinted frosting with a white and dark chocolate "plate" on top. Carla had previously made my daughter's and now son-in-law's wedding cake in July of 2017 so this is our second cake from Honey Crumb

I admit that I am a total cake snob and when it came to a wedding cake, I wanted something that not only looked amazing but tasted amazing: moist but not oily, dense but light, flavorful but not reliant on sugary sweetness for the flavor. My wife and I ordered a cake for a small belated reception for our family who flew in to town. We sent them photos and asked for cake toppers that resembled us and our two cats at 40$ a piece. We paid about $330 for a small cake and these cake toppers. The day I went to pick them up, I was so disappointed.
