A highly adaptable, collaborative and flexible Master of Ceremonies, Officiant, host and DJ, Matthew's list of clients reflect his heart, professionalism and genuine desire to deliver what his clients most want. Born and raised just east of the San Francisco Bay Area, Matthew Love (and yes Love is his given name) studied radio/TV broadcasting during his college days in Modesto.
Love is a compelling message of Life and essence of who we are. The beauty of two points of light recognizing this in the other is among the richest of our lives. This journey of discovery is challenging and worth every moment. There is much to be learned through your marriage and at it's beginning, it's wonderful to awaken your loved ones to your shared depth of connection.
What makes a moment powerful is our memory of it. What anchors a memory is emotional engagement, even more than surrounding colors, decor, and people. We especially retain experiences of awkwardness or boredom. Our memories, for better or worse, are indelible. The person most responsible for conveying the heart and feel as well as igniting the best possible donor gifts should be a TOP priority.
The majority of ceremony content including messages to children, promises, vows and more is crafted by me from working closely with couples. There are endless ways to personalize ceremonies. Together, we'll discover what will make your hearts sing while keeping everyone present, delighted and engaged.
Live music is, naturally, a wonderful addition. From the elegance of a string quartet playing during arrivals, to a cover band for your reception, live artists certainly add an elegant touch. For those not going this route, nothing is necessarily perceived as missing; live music is fantastic but not a necessity.

What a wonderful personal experience! From our first phone call, we knew Matthew was the one for us! He took the time to really get an idea of the kind of event we wanted and went above and beyond to make it a reality! This is truly what he was meant to do, and he was amazing, all our friends and family commented on how great he was too, with his energy and presence and all his coordination for our big day! Matthew Love was one of the best decisions we made for our big wedding day. He took the time to inquire the music we loved, liked, and disliked without any judgment or expectations. Matthew Love was amazing! Thoughtful, kind, professional, and just a great person to be around! Our wedding was impacted by Covid-19 (went from a 180 person guest list at a venue to a 6 person early-morning elopement in the mountains), and he was so flexible and great to work with though navigating all the changes! He really put effort into getting to know us prior to the wedding and crafted a beautiful ceremony just for us. Matthew Love made our wedding high a-top the Smith Tower amazing. He listened to our desire to give a spiritual message wedding rather than a religious message wedding. We had guests from many faith backgrounds and we wanted our union message to respect all in the room and be personal to us.
Matthew has education and training in comparative religions and spirituality that made him the perfect officiant for our day. Matthew knows how to emcee and his public speaking was fantastic. He was able to bring all these people together and give a message in our union that everyone enjoyed.

Matthew brought a personal touch to our wedding that was well beyond what I expected. He invested significant time getting to know us and learning what our wedding meant to us as a couple. His care, follow-through, and attention to detail was so comforting as we went through this process. My fiance, Paul, and I had no idea who to hire for our Officiant. That's when we found Matthew Love, owner of Love's Events. Paul and I are so happy we found Matthew! He met with us in person 3 times and spent hours with us getting to know us. Matthew was a fabulous emcee and dj for our June 2019 graduation event. He read the crowd, successfully enticed both teens and parents onto the dance floor, and created a celebratory mood that people have been talking about for days. We've worked with Matthew the last two years as the DJ for our school auction's After Party. He is super organized, easy to communicate with, punctual, and self sufficient. All the things you need from your vendors when planning and hosting a large event! We hired Matthew to MC a soirée that my team put on for a group of visiting colleagues, most of which we had not met yet. It could not have gone any better. Between the music, the lighting, and of course - his personality - everything was spot on! He really had a knack for creating a comfortable and fun vibe for everyone. I received more compliments on him than anything else. He really made it a very special evening. I would highly recommend Matthew for any type of event - you will not be disappointed! I'm looking forward to having him at our next event here in a couple of months.
