Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home
When a death occurs, we can inform and guide you through making all the necessary arrangements. Pre-arranging your funeral will help ease the burden on your family by making important decisions ahead of time. When ones comes to arrange a funeral, we will discuss three basic areas as part of our process.

Bob, you attended to details for his funeral plus helping obtain his military stone. That was a very difficult heart wrenching time for us. Looking back, the last year has been a blur. I want to let you know how much i appreciated your continuing attention and "The Journey of Grief" series. Words are indeed hard to express when losing a loved one.
Services
The dedicated families of the Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home have been caring for the needs of the Jewish community of Greater Springfield for over 50 years. Today, the Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home remains independently owned and operated to best serve the needs of the Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, and all the surrounding Jewish communities.
We can help you coordinate any and all types of funeral services. You can choose to have a funeral in our funeral home chapel, at a temple, at the gravesite, or at another place of your choosing. We can also assist with cremation, entombment, donation, disinterment and reinterment. We can help with burials in a Jewish cemetery, a nonsectarian cemetery, a town cemetery, or a veteran's cemetery.
He was born and lived in Springfield MA and later moved to Westhampton MA. Michael was a graduate of American International College with a major in Business and was a proud member of the Army National Guard with specialty training as a Medic. He worked as an Accountant for the Springfield Redevelopment Authority.
Losing a loved one is stressful enough without having to deal with the many decisions you are faced with while planning a funeral. Pre-arranging your eventual funeral will help ease the burden on your family by making important decisions ahead of time instead of emotional and hasty decisions at the time of need.
The first item we discuss in arranging a funeral is to gather statistical information in order to complete the death certificate. We will ask for the deceased's full name, birth date and birthplace, social security number, occupation and for what kind of business or industry, the highest grade of education the deceased has completed, their parents' names and birthplaces, and their mother's maiden name.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. Incredibly professional and competent. They know what they're doing and do it well, without fuss or stress. Their prices are quite a value considering their services and my family truly appreciate how easily they dealt with our grief-stricken and emotional state.

I have used Ascher Zimmerman for many funerals and pre- arranged funerals. They are very professional and have so much knowledge. Their prices are fair and when it comes to a Jewish/Kosher funeral, they are the top choice in Western MA.
