Wood Tiger Massage
One of the first questions I've been asked by multiple people is "Why are you named Wood Tiger Massage?" There are a few reasons. Everyone else is naming their business after themselves (i.e. a name) or something with the words "healing" and "hands". I am not interested in being just like everyone else.

But for convention sake, I am naming my business after me. I am a Wood or Green Tiger, born in the chinese zodiac year associated with these symbols. My practice consists of a mixture of techniques from a wide set of bodywork fields, including Tuina, Myofascial release, Traditional Thai, Micromovement, PUSH Therapy(tm), Percussive, and a couple of others, as well as influences from Cranial Sacral(tm) work and Rolfing(tm).
Services
Like many small bodywork shops, Wood Tiger Massage is Carrie Jones. I spent much of my youth working on my mother (who happened to have back problems and foot problems) and some of my college days working on the shoulders of fellow computer science students. After a rather unsatisfying career in the computer industry I attended school at Big Sky Somatic Institute (a school which has sadly closed it's doors since then, a loss to the world.)
Bodywork is a form of massage therapy. However, while most massage therapy (circulatory massage, deep tissue) is concentrated on relaxation, bodywork is about improvement in function, reduction of pain and wellbeing through techniques beyond the standard range of most entry level massage therapists.
