Are you located in Simi Valley, CA? See what a big difference martial arts classes at Black Belt USA Tae Kwon Do can make. Tae kwon do have taught my children the value of setting goals for themselves. Each of my children has the confidence to try new activities and believe they can succeed as a result of their achievements in tae kwon do.

Wow...all I can say is wow... my kid signed up and within 2 classes the owner was telling me how great he was and should join the "Black Belt Club". How in the heck he would know after 2 classes... heaven knows. In the end, what he really meant was prepay (with a small discount) for the next 3 years, in advance and your kid should be ALMOST ready for their black belt. As I got to discover, it is just to pre-pay for 3 years. Nothing more...no great honor... he asks ("invites") any kid / parent that he thinks will say yes. Can't afford it - no problem - just put it on a

Horrible!! They are all about taking your money! They asked me for money every time whether it was to have my son take individual lessons or attend a tournament- it was always something. My son hated the class as well. We switched to another studio and it is like night and day. They do t ask for money- ever and my son loves going!! What a difference! I wouldn't recommend this studio at all

Masters dedicated instruction will not guarantee everything or everybody to help anyone achieve their goal, but in the end it depends upon the individual's perseverance and personal effort.

Both my sons have been training with grandmaster Kim since 2014. I'm amazed at the confidence that they've gained since they started when they were only 3. They used to cry at sparring sessions unless the opponents were kids they know AND smaller than them. Since then, they've won gold at Taekwondo championships.
Also, if you're looking for kid's birthday parties, they do a great job. The parents really can just relax and let them handle all the activities.

I have been bringing my grandchildren to Black Belt USA for the last year. I have found Grand Master Kim teaching style to be very supportive and understanding taking into consideration each child’s physical abilities of their age while encouraging concepts of respect, discipline, control, and strength of mind, body, and spirit. I would strongly recommend this studio for any parent looking to promote their child's self-esteem, internal strength and confidence.

I and my children have been learning TKD from Master Kim for the past 3 years and we have had a very positive experience. We moved from another studio to Black Belt USA and can vouch for the fact that this has been a much more personal and rewarding experience. Master Kim and Mrs Kim are both very knowledgeable and we are very happy with our experience with this studio so far! I hope to continue our relationship as long as possible.

Black Belt USA, is not the place you want to send your children to learn Martial Arts. We are Asian ourselves and do try to understand people as they communicate with us. However, it is hard to imagine doing any business with them as they have a clear communication problem. On the day of the promotion test, we saw the schedule listed as 1 - 3pm, we asked "Master Kim" when we should arrive, he explained anytime from 1 - 3. When we arrived at 2pm, we saw that all the tests were over. They were very rude and we were left feeling embarrassed.

After checking my bank account this morning, I saw that Black Belt USA had made a $90.00 UNAUTHORIZED charge to my account. We had let them know beginning July of this summer that our son will not be coming any longer. I just so happened to look and see, they ran our card with out any permission from us. I called in and spoke to "Master Kim", he was very short and very rude and said you need to talk to my wife. As I was on "hold" I hear them talking and she never got on the phone with me. Master Kim really had no explanation as to why they charged us. I let him know we will

Beware of Master Kim!
We've had a terrible experience. I paid for a year, btw as the other post mentioned, he constantly bugs for money. He closed his Moorpark location without any notice and opened in Simi Town Center. We didn't want to fight the traffic everyday at 5.30pm on 118 freeway, so we refused to go and wanted our money back for the remaining portion of the annual deal. After some negotiation, he wrote a check and it bounced due to insufficient funds. He wasn't picking up my phone calls, his wife did and I gave them the deadline to give me cash by a certain date. I got

If you enjoy a stereotypical used car lot experience, you'll love this place:
* The owner not fully explaining the tae kwon do steps to kids, then telling them they did it wrong.
I guess he got a black belt in telepathy.
** The constantly pushing of the yearly membership: he kept telling our kids they had special potential. Yeah, special potential to be charged more $$$.
I guess he got a black belt in hard sales tactics.
*** The always changing prices of the above annual membership: "If you sign up within 7 days, I'll give you a discount." 2 days later: "You MUST sign
