Todai Bujinkan Dojo helps people find their inner warrior, and become the confident, healthy individuals they want to be. We believe that true power and strength comes from our ability to persevere and succeed when faced with challenges. No matter where we are on our journey, we remind ourselves that we don't have all the answers.
We commit ourselves to be lifelong students. In 2012, Mathew Woodard moved to Las Vegas to pursue an opportunity in Executive Protection. Meanwhile, his assistant Scott Hamilton traveled to Japan and received his 5th Degree Black Belt and license to teach the art. Scott elected to take over Todai as head instructor to help keep continue the community that Matt Woodard founded.

The Bujinkan () was founded by Masaaki Hatsumi. The Bujinkan studies nine Japanese martial arts lineages that trace back to feudal Iga. The training is comprised of philosophy and strategy, hand-to-hand combat, and various weaponry. Ninjutsu () translates as the "art of perseverance." While a relatively modern term, it refers to the skills and methods of the Samurai and Ninja that occupied the Iga and Koka regions of feudal Japan.

I've been training in different Bujinkan dojos over the years and I really enjoy this one. It is friendly but what you are taught is serious life skills to defend yourself but on a deeper level - self reflection and transformation.
Scott and Pablo are great teachers and they are genuinely super nice people and well worth trying out. They are very knowledgeable and you learn something new and real world effective at every class.
There is something very enlightening about the Bujinkan martial arts only to be realized when you seek it. I'm very happy at this dojo and I hope you will

Ever since I joined this Dojo, I've gotten a fantastic learning opportunity. The Dojo owner and Sensei Scott Hamilton is an excellent teacher, very patient and professional.
This is the 1st time I truly feel like a Japanese Dojo that I see on TV, videos and documentaries. Also having the opportunity to travel to Japan to learn from the Masters directly is a great benefit you with this Dojo and the new tamshigiri (mat cutting) classes are excellent!.
I cannot say enough good things about Scott Sensei and his Dojo and hope membership continues to grow.

It is without a doubt a great experience to train here with a wonderful and fun-loving teacher. This dojo has a great and welcoming environment with in-depth instruction and a friendly class. I was very glad to see a class that balanced core fundamentals, practical training, and a strong belief within the martial art's teachings of harmony and self-awareness. It is very rare to find a gem like this with a strong sense of community and positivity.

This place is amazing! I never tried a martial arts class before but it was always something that interested me, they offered a free class to see if it was something that I would like, and I was hooked right a way and knew I found what I was looking for! Its such a fun way to get stronger mentally and physically. The students and instructors are beyond nice and welcoming. The Dojo really has a family feel. What I love best is the authenticity of it all,the instructor and students are so knowledgeable about the teachings of traditional Ninjitsu. Learning new skills and using the weaponry is empowering

A great location to train at, it is a well equipped facility. The staff is light hearted and friendly, but the training regimen is a bit lightweight. Not much sparing or using the techniques at a pace that would match a cage fight or a situation where you have to defend yourself. Good for building the muscle memory, and learning the foundations of martial arts.

Absolutely the best secret in Moorpark. The facility is clean and the teacher is fantastic. He is well mannered, skilled, and promotes a positive learning environment. Furthermore, the students at this dojo are all nice people who cooperate with each other to learn rather than prove who is strongest. It is difficult to find this combination of a great teacher, facility, and student body in martial art schools; but it is here.
Having come from being a black belt in another martial art, the training is still challenging and rewarding. Bujinkan does include all the weapons associated with ninjas

Great instructor, schooled in nine different styles of Ninjitsu, taught by the current masters of those schools in Japan. Friendly, helpful and personable teacher. Instructs both empty hand and weapons at each class. Unlike other schools where you have to achieve a certain rank before weapons instruction are introduced. Mixed ages, sexes, races and ranks. Everything from white belt to 5th degree black belt in any class. Students are as helpful as the instructor and there is an air of relaxed and fun learning while missing nothing of what is needed and correct in the art. If you have ever been curious

I love coming to class! When I started I was so looking to develop self confidence. I have continued to grow. The quality of teaching & techniques is outstanding! The people that attend this school are so welcoming & non judgmental. Shidoshi is both patient & clear. If you are looking for a fun place to go, learn a skill, and feel good about yourself this is the place to go!

Todai Dojo's instructors and its students are amazing! After never taking martial arts in my life I was nervous about going for the first day but after the first class I felt already part of the family, everyone there is so nice and helpful! Now it's been two months and I can say I'm a lot more confident in my life and Todai has opened a new door in my journey in life. A must try for anyone from all ages!

The Todai Bujinkan Dojo deserves at least 5 Stars. Here's why: Many years ago I was searching for the right martial art and after months and months of frustrating visits to many Dojos I found Todai Bujinkan Dojo and immediately knew that this school of Ninjutsu was very special and its instructors were people with whom I would be honored to associate. I have been training here, locally, for over 12 years now and have also traveled twice to the the world famous Hombo Dojo in the small village of Noda City, Japan, in the outskirts of Tokyo to train with our Grandmaster and his top students of
