Our program is specifically designed to help your preschooler develop individually, socially, and academically -- not only so they're well prepared for Kindergarten -- but for a lifetime of learning and growing as capable, dynamic individuals.

Ms. Dayna has 10+ years in early education as well as has been teaching special education and elementary education for 5 years. Desert Blossom is certified through the Oregon Childcare Division.

Services
Students bring their own lunch and afternoon snacks to school. At Desert Blossom we have a snack calendar and each family is asked to bring snack for the class about once a month. We ask that families take into account student preferences, food allergies and trying new things. We also encourage a focus on providing students with nutritious, healthy foods, with low levels of processed ingredients and sugar.
I am a highly qualified licensed teacher, who has lived in Bend since 2015. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and an Elementary Teaching Credential and K-12 Special Education Teaching Credential from Dominican University of California. I also hold a Master's in Education with an emphasis in full inclusion of special education students.
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We follow the Bend/LaPine School District calendar. For a list of all holidays and breaks please refer to your parent handbook. Our daily schedule is somewhat flexible as we customize activities and learning goals based on student interests and developmental levels. Children self select from learning centers such as: dramatic play, art, block play, writing center, light table, nature table, library.
Sawyer is excited for school each day and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. He has met great friends, learned valuable social and emotional skills as well as gaining what it takes to be a successful student. I love hearing Sawyer's stories about his day playing and creating. Michelle and the other teachers at Desert Blossom pour their hearts into our kids each day.
Our program operates from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Morning preschool's hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Full day preschool includes an early drop-off starting at 7:30am until 4:30 pm. Children ages 2 years to 5 years old may attend Desert Blossom Preschool. We welcome families and children of all cultures, religions, races, abilities and ethnic origins.
