Services
We diagnose and treat many different types of illnesses in dogs and cats. A thorough diagnostic approach leads to accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment of a broad spectrum of diseases and illnesses seen in pets. We provide all types of internal medicine, including Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Oncology, and other disciplines.
From the north: Traveling south on U.S. 41 (also called Cross Street in Punta Gorda), we are just a few blocks over the bridge on the right side between West Olympia Ave. and West Marion Ave. The building is light green in color. From the south: Traveling north on U.S. 41, turn left on Marion Avenue, then left again on U.S. 41 South (also called Cross Street in Punta Gorda).
The Veterinary Emergency Clinic covers emergency calls after regular office hours and on weekends (after we close at noon on Saturday) and major holidays. The phone number is (941) 255-5222. The V.E.C. is located at 17829 Murdock Circle between Sam's Club and Sears at the Port Charlotte Town Center Mall.

The person answering the phone apparently thought that she had the DVM degree and proceeded to tell me that my dog could not still have an ear infection after being treated with an Otopac 10 days ago. She was less than helpful, did not want to schedule me an appointment so I took my pup elsewhere. Yes, he did still have an infected ear. Very sad that an office clerk could spoil the reputation of this wonderful veterinary practice. Wish I had her name and I would report her to the office manager.

My baby Max was sick and losing weight, so we took him in and discovered his liver was not functioning. We had to put him down. It was a very upsetting moment but they gave us time with him and took great care of him and we had him cremated. Max came back in a beautiful wood box and a card was sent and signed by everyone. Thank you to Peace River for their care and respect for animals!

We had to take our dog and because he wasn't feeling well. They didn't have room for us but they made room to fit us in. The Vet was very patient answered all my questions gave us some prescription dog food and probiotics and antibiotics. We were happy, my dog was feeling better so... he was happy too😊
