Dr. Kerr was born in Huntsville, Alabama but grew up in Sarasota, Florida. He attended University Of Central Florida for his bachelors, Ross University for veterinary schooling, and North Carolina State University for his clinical training. Dr. Kerr graduated with highest honors. He was a competitive athlete and is a life long martial arts and fitness enthusiast.

Burnt Store Animal Hospital understands this desire and aims to be a facility you can turn to for peace of mind whenever you may need to leave town without your pet.
As beautiful as south west Florida is, there are many things that could potentially harm our four legged friends. This is true for cats as well, however, cats don't typically ingest these items. We want you to be more concerned with things like strings, balloons, and other various objects they may chew on and ingest as these can obstruct the GI tract.

Dr Kerr and staff was the absolute best with care and creating our first time visit a great one . My grandmothers dog had surgery on his eye and Dr Kerr explained everything and really gave the compassionate care i was hoping for . He exceeded our expectations , Frank and Jessi theTechs were awesome taking the extra time showing extra love and care to my 90 year old grandmother . THANK YOU Dr Kerr :)

I have been looking for a good vet for several years and I am so happy I found this place. Dr. Combs is a great vet. He showed my pup compassion and love the minute he walked in. He actually took the time to educate me and made my pup feel so comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and professional. An overall great experience

Dr. Combs, Dr. Kerr, and the staff are all amazing! The whole office is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Combs and Dr Kerr both took the time to draw pictures and explain my dog’s injury and the surgery process. Every time I call or email, I have a very quick response. My dog isn’t scared to go in the office or in the rooms. She actually gets excited!

Dr Kerr and staff were great, very attentive and loving towards pets. Dr. Kerr spent a long time with us during our initial visit getting to know our Spaniel, gave us sound advice as he transitions from pup to adult. Seems very knowledgeable and up to date, very hands on with his practice. He fees were reasonable. We feel comfortable using him as our vet.

Dr. Kerr and Erica are the best! I brought my two kitties in for check-ups. They noticed the bladder on my one kitty seemed a little odd. Dr. Kerr explained everything thoroughly, went over different options and how they could address it. So they ran a CT and realized it wasn't what he originally thought it may be. They gave the girls their booster shots - and now Ally has stopped her howling today! I can't believe how much better they are both feeling. Thank you, Dr. Kerr and Erica. I'll definitely tell my friends to come see you guys!
