Finding out that my son had died was the worst possible news I could ever imagine. The staff at Akard Funeral Home answered every question, took care of us every step along the way, and treated us as if we were family. I cannot thank the staff of Akard Funeral Home enough for the kindness, patience, and compassion that they showed my family when we needed it the most.

Well the dust has settled after my Mother's death. I had worried about the arrangements, the logistics, and even the Kosher laws of a Jewish burial. The Akard family was more than accomodating with respect and sensitivity as they took care of all of the physical and emotional tasks for our family. Wthe the social distancing requirements, David even helped us set up a virtual service so that we could assemble a minyan and recite the Kaddish. I miss my mother tremendously, but through it all was glad that the Akard family was there to help our family through this difficult time.
