I'm Melissa, and that guy in the photo with me is Mike. We're the team that makes up Melissa Miksch Photography, and we're really excited that you're here! Actually, we really have no idea that you're here, being that this is a webpage and all. We do Vibrant Illustrative Storytelling. You'e probably noticed (or will notice) looking through our site that we like color.

Our images are bright and colorful and emphasize the beauty in our surroundings. Even in black and white, the vibrancy comes through in a full range of tones from deep black to bright white. Our illustrative style is little bit like photojournalistic photography, but also contains elements of more traditional photography.
Services
I have used their service for family pictures after our wedding and will use them again in the future. If you are looking for 1) An extremely talented pair of photographers who have an amazing knack for plus size brides 2) Someone who will devote their day to you, not squeeze you in 3) The biggest bang for your buck LOOK NO FURTHER!
The summer before my freshman year in high school, my hometown got a WalMart. As part of their grand opening, they were offering film developing for a ridiculously cheap price. I don't remember exactly what it was now, but I think it was somewhere around $1 a roll. We had a box full of 35mm film in our garage - relics from several years past that my father had never gotten around to developing.
When you work in the wedding industry as a photographer, you are at the wedding for most of the day. That gives us photographers a unique look into the event that many other wedding professionals just don't get to see. Our preferred vendors list contains businesses from all over the Puget Sound, and at all price levels.
Tale as old as time. Bri is a huge fan of Beauty and The Beast. Every year, she does a themed photo shoot with her son, Cam. and decided this was the year to break away from the superheroes and go a little more fairy tale (you know, while he was still willing!). Back in 2015, I got together with a couple excellent vendors to put together a styled shoot in downtown Seattle.
Megan and Tim are expecting a boy, and we're so excited! We met them a couple years ago when they got married, and so I was naturally over the moon when they called asking if we would be able to photograph the next big milestone - Megan's maternity photos. We decided on the Arboretum. If there's one thing I can unequivocally say makes every portrait better - it would be makeup.

We had such an amazing experience with Melissa for our wedding! She was incredibly responsive all throughout the wedding planning, walked us through everything related to cost and logistics on her end, and battled tremendous heat on our wedding day to produce fabulous photos of us! Oh, and did we mention she was six months pregnant on the wedding day? Her commitment to our happiness on a stressful, blisteringly hot day was exactly what we wanted and everything she delivered was above and beyond.
We were initially skeptical and bit of intimidated by all the five star reviews but don’t be scared

I don't even know where to begin about my experience with Melissa and her work. Working with Melissa was so easy and it just automatically clicked when I first met her. I saw her work and loved it. I met her and her husband and knew they were who would make my wedding memories come to life through their photography. We had multiple meetings to make sure we were on the same page. She followed my wedding photography Pinterest board, but was very open about that inspiration board would be exactly that she would use it to inspire her and make sure that my pictures were my own and didn't look like they
