Thank you so much for your visit! I own and operate Paxton Portraits with my wife in Marysville, Washington. We specialize in unique senior portrait and wedding photography. Learn more about our all-inclusive senior portrait package here. Our photography style is extremely vibrant and full of life, but we also love creating images that have a vintage, film-like quality.
Off-camera lighting is the secret to producing high quality portraits. Unfortunately many portrait photographers don't understand this and rely on an on-camera flash or no lighting at all. This usually produces flat, one-dimensional images. We light our images using up to four off-camera lights. Our lighting techniques produce vibrant, three-dimensional portraits and ensures that the final images look amazing.

Steve was amazing to work with and the whole process was very easy, from setting up a session to ordering the pictures I wanted. The pictures themselves were incredibly well done, which made choosing one for the yearbook a little difficult, but I figure that's an okay problem to have.
Most schools have specific "head and shoulders" sizing requirements. Typically this information is provided to students during the first week or two of school. You may also be able to find yearbook information on your school's website. Be sure to forward any information you have about how the image should be formatted, cropped and sized.

We chose Paxton Portraits to do our son's Senior Photos. What a great experience! Steve Paxton had excellent suggestions on locations to take the photos. We chose the Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens, close to home and absolutely beautiful. Steve had a great report with my son and gave easy to follow directions. Definitely enormous bang for your buck, as we had SO many excellent shots to choose from. I wouldn't hesitate to refer my family and friends!

After looking at multiple options for a photographer to do my daughter's senior pix, I decided on Paxton, and was absolutely thrilled with the outcome. He is extremely flexible, will meet you anywhere to do your pictures, has responded promptly to every email (and I had a multitude of questions throughout the course of our interaction!), and by far, he offers the most for your money.

We have a family of 6 with three fidgety boys uninterested in standing still for a photo and one four year old girl who is very shy in front of the camera. I was astounded at how beautiful our family photos came out! Steve has an amazing eye for putting together a group, is personable and makes you feel at ease, has tons of ideas for posing and props and some mad skill at getting pictures that capture the perfect moment. We couldn't be more pleased with our family photos.

We had our daughter's Senior portraits done by Steve at Paxton Portraits. After looking at several other photographers online, we decided we liked Steve's work and the variety of locations for photo shoots. Also, his reasonable packages came with print images (I was surprised to see some photography studios only offer digital copies).

I had Such a good experience working with Steve from Paxton photography! He did my sons senior pictures and made it very painless! He was very easy to work with and I loved how he was upfront with his pricing package. Everything was included, there were no hidden fees or extra charges! He was always quick to respond to me.
