Proactive Nursing Solutions was founded by Jennifer Kimball, a registered nurse in Shreveport who has a love for seniors and a passionate drive to improve their lives in every way possible. She has had the privilege of working with seniors in numerous settings including, acute inpatient rehab, geriatric psych programs, in long term care facilities, and under the direction of hospice care.

Loss of independence is probably the most significant issue that accompanies advanced age. Losing the ability to drive, for whatever reason, all too often leads to social isolation, depression, and loneliness. For their loved ones, it may mean wondering if everything is okay with their loved one who is at home alone.
We provide an elective means of transportation for those who are unable to drive and may need some extra help travelling. This service can be utilized by those who are not bound to a wheelchair, but can ambulate independently or with an assistive device. You may elect to have someone stay with you, or transport and drop you off.
One of the biggest factors affecting a senior's ability to remain in their own home is whether or not they can reliably take their medicines. This can become a challenge with the increase in number of medicines, frequency of dosing and illnesses contributing to confusion. We can assist in implementing strategies to ensure that medicines are taken according to the physician's instructions and that they are taken reliably.
