One of the best NY Strip in town. They have a buffet, but the real deal is in the entrees. Sushi is the best in Winchester. The Chinatown Roll is my favorite. The service is phenomenal. If you are passing through and can only eat one meal here, get the sushi and the NY Strip Chinese Style. Take it from someone who lives here.

What an unexpected and nice surprise this place was. I read the reviews and expected it would be decent. What I didn’t expect was that it would actually be really good. I’ve tried so many places all around NoVa (some in FFX and west of Fairfax county) and into WV and none of them match the quality of food Chinatown serves. I wish it was closer to home because it would be my go to. But for now on, whenever I’m in Winchester I will make a point to pick some food up to bring home. Service was a little slow for my table, but the server made up for it everywhere else. Pleasant atmosphere inside

Chinatown is the epitome of the saying, "You can't judge a book by its cover." You could pass by this restaurant and not even notice it. The exterior is unassuming. It is sandwiched in between hotels and it generally just blends in to this commercial area of Winchester VA. The humble exterior for me was confusing. The exterior definitely did not match my great experince here. Suffice to say, in my humble opinion Chinatown has the best Sushi, Chinese and Thai food in Winchester VA. I'm setting up my booth here. Prove me wrong.

My husband and I met up with some friends Thursday 2Dec21. We had not been there for years..no reason other than we have no life.
This will not happen again. The food and hospitality was excellent. Clayton, our waiter, was on point and never missed a beat. He was attentive and had great suggestions. The miso soup was the best I have had..very flavorful. Sushi was clean and fresh.
This restaurant deserved to make it through the pandemic and the packed house proved why.

Head and shoulders the best Chinese restaurant around; or any restaurant in my area. I've yet to try everything on the menu, but the quality of the food I've received is so much higher than what I expected I was compelled to immediately write a glowing review. The classic General Tso's here is incomparable to other restaurants I've tried. Everything so far has been immaculate and I want people to know the good work they do here.

We have eaten here numerous times the last 5 years, it had always been really good, good wait staff, the owner was always there and very involved, excellent selection of beer. This last time, however, was terrible. My assumption is that it switched hands, the menu has changed and the food was terrible. I feel sorry for anyone in the food industry right now and can understand an off day so we will try this place again. One thing that actually is easy to fix, if you're a waiter or waitress you probably should call the customer "buddy". I'm not your buddy, I'm a customer

Excellent Asian food, which we had been craving! Wanted to do take out, looked at the reviews and the menu, and placed an order. Phone person was very clear, asked all the right questions, asked for a description of our car, told us when to be there. Food was nice and hot when we got it home: Kung Pao chicken, fried rice, orange chicken, General Tao chicken, yellow curry with chicken, egg roll, white rice, and they gave us lots of sauce packets and fortune cookies. Food was spiced nicely, chicken was white meat. Delicious. We will definitely be going back!

This remains a clean, nice restaurant with great service and good food at a reasonable price. They are community oriented - participated for a number of years on the free medical clinic's fundraiser. It is a restaurant I trust - consistent quality, welcoming and immaculate. I've ordered off menu once or twice - and it was always spectacular.

We arrived about 1:30 and most of the dishes were out and they never replenished them the whole time that we were there eating, we more or less had to eat what was there or eat nothing.
I love Chinese food and have eaten at high end to 3.99 buffets but this was by far the worst Chinese food that I have ever eaten, even I can cook Chinese fare better than this.

Based on my one visit while driving through town and my one dish of Sichuan Udon, I'd bet every else on the menu is pretty darn good.
I asked the waiter, *if*the cook was Chinese, to make me whatever he wants involving beef or pork under $16. The waiter said the owner could get me something off menu if he was here, but he was off that night. The night's chef, however, was indeed Chinese.
So the waiter came back with "ma pa tofu?" I don't like tofu, so I asked if could be ma pa beef-- Otherwise, I'd pick something from the menu.
While he was gone, I studied

It doesn't look especially fancy from the outside but inside is quite nice and comfortable. This isn't just a regular Chinese buffet restaurant. They also have a sushi bar and a lounge with full bar service.
I ordered from the sushi menu and it was good. Two rolls following a plate of seaweed salad that was quite cold and still tasty. Very crisp seaweed. The sushi rolls were tasty, well assembled and fresh.
And even though I enjoyed the sushi, I neglected to check out the buffet before sitting. I did afterwards and I think I made a mistake. It looks like the buffet really was a better
