The U.S. Tae Kwon Do College is one of the premier schools in North America and has been dedicated to the Tae Kwon Do philosophy since 1972. We have several different locations in the Northern Virginia area that provide students with traditional Tae Kwon Do.
Since the first class was taught many years ago, the focus of our program has remained the same: to provide students with the highest quality martial arts instruction available in a safe and positive learning environment that people of all ages can enjoy. My daughter Gia has been going to U.S Taekwondo for a year now.

My daughter has been attending Afterschool Program for two years. She gets picked up from school everyday. We cannot be more delighted with the program. Masters teach a holistic model of discipline and respect spanning to every portion of our daughters life. We have tried other martial arts program such as Kung Fu and MMA before for my daughter, and been disappointed with both.
This is our son's second summer at the U. S. T. C. Tae Kwondo College camp, we are very pleased with the experience. Masters who are in charge of this camp are just very passionate about what they do. Each day there is a different Field trip scheduled and our son just loves different experiences with each trip.
This school is the BEST TKD school in the area.hands-down! We started our son with Birthday Parties at the Bailey's Crossroads location when he was 3, and it was a great decision! The instructors are caring and teach the foundations of TKD while building their self-confidence and guiding them to always make the right decision.

US Taekwondo College is a well respected school that was established in 1972. There are several locations in Northern Virginia, and occasionally joint events will be held at different locations (such as holiday parties). The Arlington location is taught by Grandmaster Kang who competed in the Olympics, and IMHO the level of instruction is exceptional. Classes are small (maybe 5 students per class), with plenty of individual attention. His students regularly compete in local tournaments, starting as early as age 5.
Grandmaster Kang emphasizes discipline, self-improvement, and leadership. Students

This negative review is only because of the unethical business practices associated with US Tae Kwon Do. The facilities and instructors are great.
But buyer beware--you have to sign a contract. I made the mistake of signing a three year contract--which is a standard commitment. 6 months in, we found that this was not the right place for us (class times were not convenient and interfering with school, my son has a knee injury exacerbated by TKD, drive across town was too long again interfering with school. School is more important.
THERE IS NO WAY OUT OF THE CONTRACT. 16 months later we

Southern Belle that I am, I asked my pretty petunia of a daughter if she was ready to take up ballet. She responded with, "Well, I thought I would try Tae Kwon Do first".
Best. Thing. Ever.
My daughter is an introvert, at 6.... I mean, it was a big deal when she stopped addressing ONLY the teacher in Kindergarten class and acknowledged the other children. So, I was a little skeptical about putting her in a class that focuses on solitary experience.
I couldn't have been farther from the mark. Yes. TKD is about besting your personal score, furthering your achievements, but
