A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
Fluoride is the most effective agent available to help prevent tooth decay. It is a mineral that is naturally present in varying amounts in almost all foods and water supplies. The benefits of fluoride have been well known for over 50 years and are supported by many health and professional organizations.
A sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the chewing surface of molars, premolars and any deep grooves (called pits and fissures) of teeth. More than 75% of dental decay begins in these deep grooves. Teeth with these conditions are hard to clean and are very susceptible to decay. A sealant protects the tooth by sealing deep grooves, creating a smooth, easy to clean surface.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

Hands down the best Dentist my husband and I have ever been to! The whole staff is very professional and friendly. If you are new to Asheville or are a current resident looking for a better dentist, I honestly can't reccomend them enough. My husband and I only stopped going because he got a transfer with his work. Needless to say I wish we could've taken Lefberg Dental with us!

Kyndra has always done a very thorough job with cleaning and is as pleasant and personal as can be. Dr Lefberg is an excellent dentist and is always honest about what needs to be done. My wife and I moved to the Asheville area last year and we’re referred to Lefberg Dental by our daughter and son-in-law (both of whom are doctors). We’ve been very pleased with the care that we have received.
Dr. Lefberg and his staff are friendly and professional. They’ve made us feel as though we’ve been patients for years!
Their dentistry practice is very modern, and we’ve never had to wait upon arriving for our appointments. I needed to reschedule my appointment this week and the staff were very accommodating.

I hate the dentist. Truly detest going to the dentist. When I married my husband, he told me he and his girls went to the best dentist in town. Sure...sure...Then, I went. This is the first dentist I have been to in my life that kept me comfortable and peaceful during my exam.
The staff is awesome. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful. Dr. Lefberg is thorough. He not only looks at the exam for the day, he lays out a plan for the future. All four of my children, my husband and me are huge fans of Dr. Lefberg and his staff!

I had an excellent experience both times I was here. My father has been my dentist for 25 years but he has retired so I found Dr.Lefburg online and chose him based on his excellent reviews.
When I called, the front desk staff were very courteous and explained everything I needed for my first cleaning appointment. She took care of all the scary insurance stuff for me and scheduled my appointment for the very near future.
My first appointment was great. The office is beautiful! Very modern and up to date. They play a great Pandora station and have flat screen TVs in each room.

If your lucky enough to get an appointment be happy, he's considered the BEST dentist in WNC,
He's been my doctor for almost 10 years , he has go out of his way on more than one occasion on helping me fix and achieving my dental goals. ( my teeth were pretty bad ) .

I had an emergency situation and was in pain. I called Lefberg Dental and they worked me in very fast. This was my first visit with them. When I arrived I was treated very well. I had to take my children with me also and the staff made them feel very welcome. They even changed the television station for them so they could watch something they enjoyed while I was seeing the dentist. Dr. Lefberg and his assistant Lynn were AWESOME!!! Everyone is very nice, but if you don't have insurance believe that you will be paying about 30% more than you would at other offices in the area. They also can't do things like root canals in office so if you need to get a crown they will drill at the office, put in a temporary (and relatively painful) filling that will just get ripped out by the surgeon. This is bottom line an unnecessary step. Even though they have a relationship with a particular surgeon they are unable to give you any information whatsoever on what the cost of the procedure will be at the surgeon. I felt like I got

Other than getting lost in Biltmore Park, my visit to Lefberg Dental was WONDERFUL - wish I'd gone years ago. I can't say enough good things about the caring, friendly staff; best teeth cleaning experience I've ever had (thanks, Adrienne!); and, most importantly, no pain - even with my extraordinarily sensitive teeth.
Not only would I recommend Lefberg Dental, I already did - I made an appointment for my husband when I was checking out from my appointment!

I have a life-long terror of dentists, and Dr. Lefberg and his staff easily and quickly over came my high-anxiety.
I've been to only 3 dental appts in the last 12 years and have walked out on each of the appts in mid-cleaning because the dentist/hygienist did exactly what I had asked them NOT to do.
Dr. Lefberg and his staff listened to my concerns and fully respected and accommodated them. The experience was entirely pleasant, something I haven't been able to say about a dental appt since the mid-1990's.
