Therapy With Jerah
I am a passionate counselor who loves working with children and families going through challenging times. Are you and your child having trouble communicating? Are you met with eye rolls and long sighs? Do you see them going through a hard time, long to help but don't know how? I am here for you. Are you a teen or young adult who feels like the world is on their shoulders?

Are you wondering the type of person you want to be, and what your future will be like in high school and beyond? Do you feel undone by anxiety or depression of the culture of perfectionism around you? I am here to listen, support, and cheerlead you through these super stressful days of middle school and high school!
Services
I am a Greenville native who spent my formative years in San Diego surfing, learning Spanish, and being exposed to West Coast Culture, which truly resonated with my soul. From my time working in Young Life, I saw the need for teenagers and young adults to have someone to trust, laugh with, and to process through difficult and uncertain times.
I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
Is anxiety taking over your life? Does it feel like you can't control it no matter how hard you try? Have you already tried therapy but found it ineffective? If this sounds like you, I'm confident I can help. My practice offers the most effective forms of treatment, to get the relief from anxiety that you deserve.
More often than not, drug addictions start with experimental use of a drug in social situations. And for some people, drug use becomes more frequent. As time passes, a person may feel the need to use more of a drug to get their desired high, and soon a person may need the drug to simply feel "good."
Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it's a car accident, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war, or a natural disaster.

While many people can recover from trauma over time with the love and support of family and friends and bounce back with resiliency, others may discover effects of lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or posttraumatic stress far after the event has passed. In these circumstances, the support, guidance, and assistance of a therapist is fundamental to healing from trauma.
