The most popular time of year for family photos is here! We love this season. This year I'll be offering two destination shoots-Jemez, NM and Sandia Crest- as well as weeknight opportunities for locations around Albuquerque including the all time favorites: the Bosque and foothills.

My name is Lydia Phillips, I'm the owner and photographer behind Mintwood Photo Co. We started out in Athens, GA in 2014 as wedding photographers, senior portrait takers, and fall family sessions. We have since moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and taken time off from the wedding scene. Today, you can find us photographing individuals and families, as well as newborns.
I get it, how often do we take professional photos, right? Probably not often since selfies don't count, so it's natural to have a feeling of uncertainty in the beginning. When I begin an engagement session, I let the couple know a few things up front about what to expect in order make them relax, and while it may take a few minutes to get into the swing of things, we always get to the point where their true personalities come alive!
Located less than an hour north of Albuquerque, this unique desert landscape is a must-see. The only area where photography is permitted is across from the Jemez Pueblo's Walatowa Visitor Center, seven miles south of Jemez Springs. Rising over Albuquerque, the 10,378-foot crest of the Sandia Mountains is a the perfect photo destination for the adventurous couple or family.

Lydia is absolutely amazing! She was a joy to work with throughout the entire process. Our pictures turned out perfect and are a beautiful reminder of how wonderful our wedding day was. I would recommend her to everyone looking for a quality photographer who cares about what you want and captures every scene beautifully. I couldn't have asked for anyone better!

The final image results are consistently stunning. Lydia has done photos for me for years, but recently took head shots of me to use for professional profile sites. I couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out. I don't normally feel comfortable looking serious or posed for pictures, but she captured a perfect balance of my usual candidness and also my professional posture, and I'm so grateful for that.
I'll never choose anyone else for my photography needs.

I have used Lydia for professional photos twice now and have already reserved her for a third time as a present for my friend that just had her first baby. Lydia is incredibly talented. Always professional, fun and easy to hang out with for a few hours. Her prices are low considering the quality of work you get in return. I would suggest her to anyone, no matter the occasion!

First off, I wish that Google provided more than five stars to choose for rating. Five stars is way too inadequate for how talented these young women are.
I say this all the time but... MINTWOOD PHOTO CO. WILL ALWAYS BE MY "GO-TO PHOTOGRAPHERS"! Seriously, I have had the honor of working with Lydia on my senior,engagement and wedding photographs! I couldn't imagine anyone else doing them.
These young woman are beyond talented and not only do they capture the moment but also the smallest details within that moment. We were in awe at the amount of photographs that we got back after our wedding
