Hovik, the founder of IN N OUT AIR is the 3rd generation of HVAC technicians in the family. I've had Hovik come out for two inspections to my house over the years, and I just wish that other vendors were as honest, patient and capable as he is. He takes his time to explain everything to me, and he does a really thorough job inspecting my HVAC system. I'm thankful not to have any major issues with my system so far - and doubly thankful to have found someone who will fix it well and quickly when I do!

Our American Standard gas furnace burner would light and start burning for 2 seconds, then cut off. I called In-N-Out Air and agreed to the minimum $99 service fee. Hovik came the following day and was friendly and knowledgeable.
In less than an hour, I watched him extract the flame sensor by removing the front panel and 2 screws, clean it with sand paper, and re-install it. He fixed it, which made me happy--he then charged $200, which didn't.
Before he told me how much, I was thinking the $99 minimum would easily cover it given how simple the problem was to fix with no new parts

I used In N Out Air last year for my ac and heating maintenance. They were reliable then. However, this year they didn't show up or even call for the appointment that I scheduled with them. When I called to inquire if someone was coming out, they called back and Hovik told me that he hurt his back and couldn't do the service. He told me that Anita had called me to cancel my appointment and to reschedule. When I explained to him that I never received a call from his company, he blew me off and insisted that she called because he was standing right there when she called. So let me

I saw a recommendation on Nextdoor a few days ago, followed by half a dozen neighbors all agreeing. And then cross referenced with lovely reviews here on Yelp.
My A/C died in the heat wave last Summer. I was convinced my unit, which was here when I moved here in 2003, would need to be fully replaced.
The other reviews are spot on. Hovik is an absolute pleasure. There is absolutely zero upsell. He is informative and educational. He helped guide me on maintenance I should have been doing. And ultimately it was a very affordable small part that needed replacing and he recommended I keep the system

Decided to give these guys some business based on their Yelp rating. Absolutely the best decision! Owner goes my one name: Hovik. As a first time customer he and his helper came out to evaluate our HVAC. They replaced a capacitor and topped off the refrigerant and everything is beautiful once again.
Hovik is very knowledgeable and personable. He said that the previously replaced capacitor was a substandard model, a "toy" in his estimation and showed it to me. He replaced it with a heavy duty unit which should last many more years. Now that we are experiencing multiple days of over 100º

"Doctor" Hovik and his apprentice worked on our non-functioning, almost 30-year old Lennox HVAC unit today, and fixed it quickly after taking the time to meticulously determine the root cause of the problem. It turned out that three of the unit's parts were burnt out from a power issue that kind of created a domino effect on each one. Like a surgeon, he replaced them all with OEM ones, and followed all original wiring diagrams to install them.

Hovik saves the day! My A/C went out on Friday. I replaced the fuses, then the capacitor, no luck. Another company's tech came Monday and said the compressor was dead and I needed to replace the whole system ($5K - $6K). I set up appointments with 5 companies to get bids, and Hovik came this morning. He said he didn't want to bid on a replacement system until he understood what was wrong with my existing one. After poking around for less than 5 minutes he said the problem was a burned out contact. He fixed it, cleaned and serviced the system and was all done in 30 minutes for $325. WELL DONE!

Once again he impressed me by securing the situation immediately and offering me an better system at reasonable price.
He followed thru when promised, should up early morning with right system and dedicated crew. Replaced with new any of the system that was marginal, broken or old.
Stayed until the Austen was performing to our satisfaction.
Offered to do a follow up to make sure system is performing top notch.

Called in n out air two days ago when my heater just stopped working on me. I was hoping someone would be able to come check it out sometime that week because I absolutely cannot stand the cold...the girl over the phone managed to fit me into the schedule right away and hovik came in later that afternoon to get it fixed! He was super sweet and genuine and really looked like he knew what he was doing. Quick change in a small part and he was done. Thanks so much! Recommend to all my friends and family!

We had moved in to our new house recently when I was pregnant and hadn't noticed the downstairs heater wasn't working so our house was pretty much freezing! I called in n out air, told them I had a baby on the way in a few days and they came out the next day to check it out. We had another company out here that told us we had to get a new system but Hovik fixed it for us in a few minutes without having to change anything. Everything has been working perfectly since!

The AC at my business, CrepeStudio in Pasadena went out on me last week and i found them on yelp. I needed someone quick because crepe makers will heat up the entire place without the AC! Hovik came out right away and he was so great, he explained everything that he did and was super fair and affordable on the pricing. I'll be calling for future needs.
