Is that man over there harmless or could he become a threat? Am I being followed? Who else is with me on this train, bus, or street? Look, you don't know me and I don't know you. But I do know you've been where I have been. And if you're like me, you want to be able to go out into the world and never feel intimidated again.
Not at all. You'll find that our classes for beginners are the perfect way to build up your overall fitness level regardless of your physical condition. Can I train WingChun if I am older, a petite woman, uncoordinated, overweight, or out-of-shape?. Yes, WingChun does not require a lot of athleticism, so many different types of people can practice.
Have you been reading the books and articles, watching the movies and videos, or just researching something fun and active to do? Are you interested in taking classes but need help making a decision? The best way to experience WingChun is by trying it out for yourself. Watching someone else perform the movements is different than doing them.

One of the most interesting aspects of the training is as you move through the training you are always paired with a student at a higher level. I didn’t know how much I had learned until I found that I was the higher student in a pairing and I actually had a lot to pass on. You learn easily because you’re having fun while you’re learning. There’s no additional pressure because of your age or gender and everyone participates. Give it a try if you’re interested in a self defense class for adults that’s both applicable and fun. D Smith

Here’s what I love about this place and why I never want class to end.
1: The masters are extremely patient with beginners. If you’re unsure of how to do anything and they go way above and beyond to help you learn until you’ve got the techniques down. (Always)
2: They work with all us at our individual pace.
3: The atmosphere is very friendly and everyone supports each other throughout the whole processes. Like a team on a journey.
4: They make you feel comfortable like you’re right at home.
5: the masters here live and breathe what they teach. When it comes to wingchun history, they

This is hands down THE BEST martial arts academy ever. I have never been a part of such a supportive, open, and friendly group sport. I was really shy to go to my first class but there was nothing to be worried about. My first class everyone greeted me and cheered me on. The Sihings (instructors) are phenomenal and make me laugh while we seriously train. You will learn so many things from one single class that you can use to defend yourself immediately. I joined the academy for self defense as a woman in this crazy world. There are other women there in high levels I have to look up to and train

Bruce lee, christian bale (batman), robert downey jr. (iron man), jackie chan, nicholas cage, cameron diaz . . . and the list goes on.

you're probably wondering what those names meant. well, those are some of many celebrities who practice wingchun

for those who may not know, maybe this will help..
you remember in the movie iron man, when robert downey jr.'s in his basement practicing martial arts on a wooden dummy with several arms? or what about cw's show, arrow, when oliver queen is practicing on a similar looking dummy? that's wingchun -- which is a practice of self defense
