At Smith's Martial Arts Academy, we teach traditional taekwondo with traditional values of respect and self-control. We teach ALL of our students to be better US citizens, not fighters. You will learn to defend yourself, but more importantly you will learn when NOT to fight. We believe in and live by the five (5) tenants of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit.
We believe every student can be as great as her/his dedication to training and practice. We believe everyone can be stronger and better today than s/he was yesterday.

Master Smith is awesome. No matter the age or physical condition of his students, he meets them where they are both mentally and physically. My daughter is currently a High Blue Belt at age 7. My wife and I are Deputy Black belts. Even in my 40s with the weight and joint issues I have, I've been able get healthier and improve my joints.

Master Smith has a kind but firm demeanor that works very well with young people. He is not the "stereotypical" martial arts instructor that you see in the movies, like "Karate Kid". He is also very patient and does not belittle the students who are not so physically talented.
Our son, who has had attention and focus issues, found a loving home at Smiths Martial Arts Academy and after four years of hard work, has earn a black belt. This was a kid who initially faked being sleepy to get out of going to class.
Also, his school is smaller, so you always have Master Smith's attention during class
