Geibel Funeral Home is a family owned funeral operation serving the Butler, Pennsylvania area for over 86 years. His nephew, Stephen J. Geibel, served as Director from 1947 to 1977 and was assisted by his father, Stephen C. Geibel. Presently Stephen J. Geibel and David B. Geibel continue the family tradition.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora. Surviving are four daughters: Marsha Dinsmore of Butler, Cynthia (Walter) Loewe of FL., Christine Franchuk of Butler and Mary Jane. Mr. Allen was a veteran of The United States Air Force, having served from 1952 to 1956.

The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).

Chad Geibel and his father Steve are top shelf individuals and professionals who put the family first. It seems a former disgruntled employee and family member has put his friends from the rooms to place negative comments on this third generation firm. They are family men. The negative comments and concerns I just read should have been voiced to the Geibel's and not hide behind negative postings. I just hope they paid their bills for the excellent service they received.

With the recent unexpected loss of my sister and not having lived in Butler for quite some time, we chose the Geibel Funeral Home on E. Cunningham Street for her viewing and funeral services. When our father passed away years ago, we found the experience with Geibel’s to be top notch. Knowing the ownership was still in the family, although not the same generation, we assumed and expected the same professionalism with my sister; however, that was sadly not to be the case this time.
