We understand that arriving at a doctor's office for the first time can be nerve racking. If you've never experienced chiropractic care before, you may not know what to expect when you come to our Gonzales chiropractic office for the first time. Filling out paperwork, learning new faces and names, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience.
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem.
One of our friendly and professional Chiropractic Assistants will greet you at the front desk. This Assistant becomes your contact person and will guide you through the process of checking in, scheduling and answering any questions you may have during your visits to the clinic. After checking in, our new patient assistant will help guide you through your initial visit.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.
Most chiropractors regard the elimination of symptoms as the easiest part of a persons care. If all that the chiropractor does is to reduce the pain and stop there, the chances of the condition recurring are much greater. In order to prevent a rapid recurrence of symptoms, it is necessary to continue receiving care even though your symptoms are gone.

First impression was with the initial phone call. I was taken care of with kindness and compassion. She answered all of my questions (first time visiting a chiropractor) and explained how everything works. Everyone in the office that I came in contact with was so helpful and warm, so kind and friendly. I was asked so many questions and several tests and X-rays were taken. Dr. Smith was extremely nice and kind. He preformed his lengthy assessment, explained everything with such detail while making sure I understood it all. My experience has been great here foe years.I was unable to walk without pain a short distance or turn my head to hold conversations (lol 😂 ) the only thing I could really do was to add a scraping bone noise effect like you would hear in a horror movie! Today I feel like I’m able to do more of the things that I love , work a full schedule and also run 5 miles. I’m back to a fuller life!
