SystemsGo is an innovative high school rocketry/aeroscience curriculum that uses project-based learning to teach science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM); to develop skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership; and to encourage careers in the engineering industries. Students design and develop unmanned aerial vehicles for research or industrial applications.
Advanced students develop sounding rockets capable of lofting scientific payloads to 100,000 feet for collaborative research with universities, ultimately launching their vehicles at White Sands Missile Range. The program has been featured on NBC Nightly News, and is certified by The Space Foundation.

Doug Kimbrell earned a BS in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology while working at the Manned (Johnson) Spacecraft Center in Houston as a signal conditioning and timing engineering aide during the Gemini and Apollo program developments.
SystemsGo offers a four-year sequenced STEM curriculum that fulfills course requirements in CTE Engineering Pathways and Programs of Study. All levels are designed to provide knowledge of the R&D industry and its fundamentals, promote application of students' R&D knowledge base, and develop work and life skills within students.
This program is awesome! The students are more engaged and more excited about this class than any other class they're in. They are learning new ways to think, how to solve problems and overcome failures and much, much more. It's great to see their enthusiasm for this project. One of the highlights of my career will be going to White Sands Missile Range with the Alamo Heights High School students.
