I've have a good experience here. A few of the dentists are new and getting valuable experience. They are quite good. The hygienist was great. The office is clean. However, it can get busy. I've had an appointment or two rescheduled and that can be frustrating. Recently, they scheduled a few appointments in a few weeks. I was really happy about that since it can take awhile to get everything done. The prices are sliding scale and affordable compared with other dentists.

I, like so many Americans, do not have medical insurance. I contacted Mission East Dallas because they advertised low cost dental. I have had pain in my tooth due to having two cracked teeth. At the exam a few weeks prior, they had confirmed I would need 2 extractions of the cracked teeth and one filling. I returned for my cleaning prior to anything being done.
On the day I was scheduled for my extraction and filling on one side of my mouth. I arrived as instructed 15 minutes prior to my appointment time. They called me back and proceeded to take x-rays of my mouth. Afterwards, the dentist came

New doctor (Dr. Ta) is great. He is very caring and honest. You can tell he got into this line of work to help to those in need. He got a difficult tooth out for me and saved me a trip to the oral surgeon. The income based payment scale is very reasonable and the facility is nonprofit so you know they’re looking out for you. The wait is long to be seen because they’re super busy but it’s worth it.

Dr Shanafelt. Awful, very traumatic experience for me. Growing up with high quality medical care all of my life until the last few years, I am still appalled by her complete lack of professionalism as well as empathy. My Mission East experience was almost 2 years ago now, I will never go back. I didn't bother even paying the bill for that visit smh..& I paid for exactly what I received. Nothing for nothing.
Update:
I reviewed my medical records, Dr Shanafelt has apparently diagnosed me with a long term mental health disorder on our first visit & without mentioning it to me? I have never indicated

Would give this clinic zero ratings. Uncaring and worst experience received. Front staff is rude. Dr.C all she does is sit at the computer typing notes the whole time instead of caring for patient needs. Will not be returning. They also never answer their phones. I recommend y'all find another clinic.

Super happy, they have a new dentist he did such a good job on my fillings and saved my tooth! The front lady was super helpful yes they do get super busy because they help the community with low cost dental treatment and their appointments are a wait but worth it. I also had a deep cleaning and the hygienist did a great job. I got lucky because i walked in at opening and they had a cancellation! They moved quickly to get me in and next day had treatment started looking forward to my next appointment in December a month later but hey keep up the flossing and care and they will get you right for

If I could give this clinic zero stars I would. They are uncaring of people who need care and attention. How do you cancel an appointment not just once but twice with a new patient after being out of the hospital for almost 8 weeks after having a heart attack and are needing a dr. Shame on you people ! The appointment was supposed to be with Juarez each time they canceled. The clinic did not even try to move her to another doctor when this doctor canceled on us twice. This goes to show you the kind of care you would get there. It’s very unfortunate this is who we were referred to. BEWARE IF YOU

I am very impressed with this low-cost clinic and with the dentist, in particular. I don't have a lot of experience in dental chairs because I have had very good teeth my entire life. Now, however, I am 74 going on 75 years old and am in need of more regular cleanings. To reiterate, I am very impressed with the dentist and hygienists, and I know a good ones when I have them. The fact that the dentist is from England, where they have nationalized medicine and dental care, meant a lot to me. He explained that he is doing low-cost dental work because he believes that people should not have to be wealthy

If i could give this place -0 I would. Two months ago I broke a tooth and went there to either get it pulled or filled. They said they could fill it but had to take xrays of full mouth. 2nd apt for fill, doctor didnt show. A month later(no openings) I went for filling. After drilling 30 minutes, she says she cant fill it that i need a root canal/crown route or be pulled. I asked if they could pull so i made another apt. It took another month. I get in the chair and dr says they cant pull but must refer me to Baylor. I have wasted two months and nothing has been done and now they sent bill

Would give a 0 score if I could. My husband recently was approved for disability and went to this clinic because he needed a complete physical and to get his psyche meds renewed. He had to pay $76 up front to be seen. After an hour and a half wait, the doctor came in and her demeanor and attitude towards him set him off and he left in a rage without treatment. The medical staff need to be trained to work with mental patients if they are advertising that they do. He was in a terrible state when he got home and he still doesn't have his meds. He went to this clinic based on a referral from he

Dr. Ellis is loud, confrontational, and is no good with kids.
Having made an appointment, I showed up with my three kids ages 5, 3, and 3 months. I assumed that it would be a quick visit. We were made to wait an hour, most of which I was having to carry my baby, who by this time was asleep.
When we were finally seen, I was told that my 5 year old would have to have a full x-ray done before her filling could be replaced. I asked if I could speak with the doctor first. Dr. Ellis came in shortly after, speaking loudly at the top of her voice. I asked her three times to lower her voice so that she
