Kala specializes in event and floral design and her true passion is getting to know each client individually while working with them side by side. She is originally from upstate South Carolina and after attending Anderson University she moved to Charleston and has been here for 15 years. Her eye for detail and design helps her to create a seamless and beautiful event every time.

Our full service planning package is great for the bride who is busy with work and/or school or for destination brides who need a little more guidance with where to start for their Charleston wedding. We help with choosing a venue and vendors who fit your style and budget, help with design and execution of your floor plan and timeline, coordination of the rehearsal, as well as setup/breakdown and coordination of the ceremony and reception.

I am in absolute awe of MOD Events and all they did to ensure that my daughter's destination wedding In Charleston was absolutely flawless! I consider myself to be a perfectionist and it's usually hard for me to relax and trust others to take care of things. Kala and Kara took all those worries away with their attention to detail and organization skills. During the planning of our week-long itinerary of events, they were extremely knowledgable, responsive, and helpful. We made several trips to Charleston and they scheduled hair/makeup trials, tastings, and meetings with vendors

You need to choose MOD events! Kala at MOD events was the best thing we ever chose for our wedding. Kala is absolutely incredible! She is extremely responsive, knowledgeable with the vendors, and has a phenomenal eye when it comes to décor/suggestions to make your wedding look beautiful. Most of all she is beyond dedicated to your wedding to make sure it is exactly what you want, and to make you feel like you are the only focus in the world. She always made sure we were stress free and everything was taken care of every step of the way. Her referrals for vendors were also top notch, and helped
